Just a reminder to everyone that we have a temporary dispensary set up at the back of the surgery. From here you are able to order medication, collect paper prescriptions and collect dispensed medication (if you are one of our dispensing patients). Opening hours are between 9am and 6pm, but we are closed between 1 and 2 for lunch.
Please note though that we are unable to accommodate dispensing patients wanting to change their location between Monmouth and Raglan due to staffing, you need to stick to your allocated location please.
Please do not go to Monnow Vale to collect prescriptions, unless a clinician has agreed this with you.

The long process of getting back into the practice begins. The building is being prepared for the drying out phase taking us to early January. We can then start rebuilding the ground floor. We will soon to able to dispense from the practice in Monmouth using a temporary shelter and hatch at the back of the building (see the last photo) and will let you know when this is ready. We are unlikely to be back in the surgery until Spring/Summer. Please continue to be kind to the team as we adapt to the new ways of working and find ways to look after our patients with as little disruption as possible.

We are now able to answer incoming calls as normal. We have a temporary set up in Monnow Vale where the reception team are taking the Monmouth calls and Raglan calls will be answered from Raglan.

If you are a Monmouth patient please call the Monmouth number in the usual way.

💊Medication/Prescription Update 19/11/25💊

⭐️Patients that normally collect a paper prescription from Monmouth or Raglan- these should be ready to collect as normal after allowing the usual timeframe from ordering (48hours) however all of these prescriptions need to be collection from our Raglan Surgery.

⭐️Dispensing patients
We are working hard to keep on top of all the extra queries and prescriptions required for patients whom have had an interruption to their usual service, however normal service for our dispensing patients is also a priority♥️
We are working really hard to re dispense items damaged over the weekend and have a Monmouth “hub” collection set up in Raglan.
We are texting all our Monmouth patients when your prescriptions are ready in Raglan. If you need something urgently and haven’t had a text yet, please leave us a message on 01600 713353.

📞 We have taken over 500 messages on our voicemail over the last two days and are working hard to call or text you all back with updates. Please bare with us 💕♥️

💊Those that have prescriptions already at please keep up to date with individual correspondence from each.

🥳We are working closely with Rossers Pharmacy (01600 713353) whom are doing a great job with extra interims as are other Pharmacies in the surrounding area to accommodate urgent requests.

The Pharmacy Teams in Monmouth are in constant contact and really doing as much as possible to keep communications open 📞

We’ve got lots to do but we’re getting there.

We are in the process of setting up a temporary base in Monmouth. We will also be working on getting the surgery up and running.

We are asking that for now you continue to only get in touch for urgent medical care, we have got support from the health board for urgent requests.

If you have appointments booked we will be in touch with any changes including possible changes to the location of your appointment. Please keep an eye out for a text or call from us.

The Pharmacy Team within CGMP will aim to give regular updates with information regarding prescription orders /collections and requests over the coming days/weeks so please share and /or advise others as appropriate. ✔️✔️

💊Although CGMP Monmouth is closed currently,
collections for dispensed medications will be available from our Raglan site in the interim. If you have already placed an order and would normally be collecting tomorrow, please leave us a message on 01600 713353 so we can ensure your medication wasn’t damaged during this period of adverse weather, thereafter one of our team will contact you back with a collection time if required ⏰ 💊

For urgent requests - 🚨 🚨🚨🚨

Please also leave us a message on the above number, or on the NHS App, we have members within the team that will be manning both these requests throughout the day. ‼️

For our patients that usually use a community pharmacy that may in the interim be closed

The main surgery site in Monmouth will be out of action for some time. Please do not contact us for routine issues. If you have an urgent clinical need call 111 or the surgery. People who have appointments tomorrow have been contacted today. We will contact patients with appointments from Tuesday onwards from tomorrow.
