Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, as part of our commitment to ‘Changing the Narrative on Su***de’, we are proud to share that Diana, Ted’s mum, will have the honour of carrying the Baton of Hope through Hereford on the 2nd October.
The Baton of Hope was created by two fathers after losing their own sons to su***de. Inspired by the Olympic torch, the baton is carried by bereaved families and su***de survivors through 20 towns and cities across the UK. It stands as a powerful symbol of remembrance, hope, and change, sparking vital conversations about mental health and su***de prevention.
At Ted Senior Foundation, we believe that su***de is preventable, and that society has a duty of care to support those who are struggling. United by grief, we share a common goal: to save lives, raise awareness, and help ensure that the devastation and suffering caused by su***de is better understood.
