Caroline Kinghorn Physiotherapy

Caroline Kinghorn Physiotherapy Caroline Kinghorn Physiotherapy is a private physiotherapy practice based in Montrose, Angus. Caroline Kinghorn BSc(Hons), MCSP, HCPC registered.

I qualified in 1994 with a BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh. I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I have worked in the NHS for my entire career until 2020 when I decided to leave and focus on my business. In my NHS career I gained experience in many areas but chose to specialise in musculoskeletal issues. Latterly I worked as a first contact practitioner for part of my time in the NHS. I have also worked in Industry for 6 years dealing with musculoskeletal and occupational health issues. My assessment and treatment approach is to look at movement dysfunction and work with the patient to maximise their potential. I offer assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal problems, including sports injuries, back pain, neck pain, sprains, muscle strains, tendon problems, arthritis, Repetitive Strain Injury, Whiplash Associated Disorders, post operative orthopaedic surgery and post fracture rehabilitation. I also see ante-natal and post-natal patients. I have done training in running assessments and rehabilitation which is of particular interest to me. I work with various sports including Montrose Rugby Club and Roselea junior football club. I have recently undertaken training in strength and conditioning for therapists. Treatments that I can offer are exercise prescription; soft tissue massage/mobilisation; joint mobilisation; ultrasound, acupuncture, strapping, education and advice. I am trained in acupuncture for pain relief and chaired the acupuncture practice development group for Tayside. I am always updating my knowledge and continuing my professional development. Appointments are available at my home treatment room at 12 Bridge Street, Montrose, DD10 8AE and home visits can be arranged on request. Prices:
Initial assessment = £35.00
Follow up treatment = £30.00
Online consultation = £25.00

Some of the positive benefits of parkrun - participating and volunteering.

We have 3 parkruns in Angus (Montrose, Forfar Loch and West Links, Arbroath) held on Saturday mornings at 9.30am. A new junior parkrun has just started at West Links in Arbroath held on Sunday mornings at 9.30am and in the near future I’m delighted to be part of the team bringing a junior parkrun to Broomfield in Montrose.

parkrun is a great way to keep active and be part of a friendly community and it’s free!

I’m back to work on Monday 29th September and will deal with messages on my return.
A favourite photo from a few days on Lewis/Harris earlier in the year with my favourite dog, sadly she can’t come this time 😔
