Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) will be at the Links Health Centre in Montrose on Thursday 20/11/2025 and 04/12/2025 to provide free health checks for anyone ages 18+ and the aim is to assess your risk of chest, heart or stroke conditions. You'll receive personalised advice on how to lower your risk.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT – Fake GP Practice Calls ⚠️

We’ve been made aware of a telephone scam targeting patients in the Forth Valley area.

📞 Some patients have received calls from 07759 705398 (showing a location in Spain) claiming to be from their GP Practice.
The caller says they are “updating patient records” and then tries to send a link.

✅ Please remember:

Do not share personal details or click any links if you’re unsure who’s calling.

Genuine GP Practices will never ask for this information over the phone.

If you’re concerned, hang up and call your GP Practice directly using their official number.

You can also report suspicious calls to Police Scotland (101) or NHS Forth Valley.

Patient notice... Road works on Marine Avenue, Montrose

We have been informed road works will commence on 4th of November for 1 week.

While this will affect the road at the entrance to the health centre, we have been advised patients will still have access to the car park but expect delays due to the work being carried out.

Please arrive in plenty of time to allow for these roadworks for your appointments.

Bring it along to one of our drop-in sessions across Angus to have it calibrated and replaced if necessary – free of charge!

The Surgeries in the Links Health Centre will be closed for routine appointments between 1-6pm on Wednesday 3rd September for Protected Learning Time alongside most Tayside GP practices.

GP Practices throughout Tayside are committed to providing patients with the highest quality care. They participate in a number of Protected Learning Time (PLT) sessions throughout the year which allows them to provide access to training for the whole practice

During those hours on Wednesday 3rd September, GP practices will continue to be contactable by phone to access urgent care provided by Out of Hours Service if your condition cannot wait until the practice reopens the following morning.

Please note we are unable to make any future appointments or medication requests.

GP surgeries will resume their usual working hours again on Thursday 4th September

The Angus Health and Social Care Partnership, Williams Medical & NHS Tayside Charitabke Foundation are offering further calibration of blood pressure machines that patients have bought for themselves. This is a good way to ensure your machine is giving an accurate reading.
