Goodbye from David and Shamin. Today is the day of our retirement. We are leaving Whitelow House in the capable hands of Mildred and Smart. Thanks to our fantastic staff - past and present. Best wishes to all our lovely residents and their families.

Thanks to Lesley, Jo and Annette for the gift of this lovely bird feeder, in memory of mother Brenda. It is very popular with the birds and lovely for the residents and staff to watch.

If you watch "The Bay" on ITV at 21.00 Wednesday night (22/3/23) you will see a brief appearance of Whitelow House. They renamed us as Oak Grove Residential Care for the show when they filmed back on 1st July last year. We met the star of the show - Marsha Thomason. You can also stream "The Bay" on ITVx. Whitelow appears around 15 minutes into the episode.

Congratulations to Kathleen who celebrated her birthday yesterday!

I'm very sad to report that Marlowe passed away this morning. Just two weeks ago he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma - a very nasty type of cancer. It quickly took away his quality of life, so today we took the painful decision to end his suffering. He went peacefully and painlessly with us by his side.

He was a wonderful dog with a kind heart and a gentle nature. He had many friends at work who loved him. We will all miss him, including his "sister" Winny. We wish him well, wherever his innocent soul has moved on to.
