At The Mayfair we provide an environment where residents can enjoy the independence they want while always having the support and care they need. for 12 years.

The Mayfair Care Home was established in 1984 to deliver the highest standard of care we can provide for our Residential & Respite service users. Our proprietor, Mr Tony Prada has successfully completed NVQ 4 Registered Managers Award and has City & Guilds 705, 706/2 707 catering qualifications and D32/33 Vocational Assessors Award in Health & Social Care & Catering. He has considerable experience, covering developments in care sector management over the past 20-plus years. He is supported by a team of carefully recruited and well-trained staff led by Care Manager, Mrs Sally Dalby who joined in 2008 as a Carer and gained Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification in 2009. Sally became a Senior Carer in August 2010, managing a team of Carers. She got her Level 5 in Advanced Adult Practice in Health & Social Care & Level 7 Management & Leadership Award in February 2020. Also in the management team is Mrs Julie Anderton, Julie came from Lancashire County Council Adult College where she had been a Team Leader in the Health & Social Care Dept. Prior to that, Julie was a Branch Manager for domiciliary care agency supervising Carers in the community, and before that was a qualified nurse between 1981-1985. Currently, Julie is responsible for recruitment, training, welfare and constant appraisal of all the Mayfair staff. We offer accommodation to residents requiring long or short-term care as well as holiday relief and convalescence from illness or treatment.

At The Mayfair we provide an environment where residents can enjoy the independence they want while always having the support and care they need. Our accommodation is on several levels with a self-operated passenger lift serving all floors allowing residents freedom to move around the home independently, although of course staff are always on hand to give help when needed.

The Mayfair is supported by an excellent team of carefully recruited and well-trained staff led by a strong, highly experienced Management Team. The Management are committed to thorough staff training and has been a successful ’Investor in People’. We offer accommodation to residents requiring long or short-term care as well as holiday relief and convalescence from illness or treatment.

Our proprietor Mr. Tony Prada has had considerable experience within the Care sector over 20 years and has successfully completed NVQ level 4 Managers Award. Mr Prada is also an accomplished chef, acquiring City & Guilds 705, 706/2, 707 catering qualifications.
