Sensory Parties & Workshops for All Abilities. Many party activities and children's party entertainment sometimes unintentionally exclude children with special needs, such as bouncy castles, dance machines, and even magicians and entertainers with noisy music, loud microphones, and busy games. Sand Art is the exception to all of this, and an activity that every child (or adult) can enjoy equally.

Not just for Kids! Sand Art isn't just for children. An excellent tactile activity, it's brilliant for elderly people, those with dementia, or those recovering from Strokes. Could you talk to us about a workshop in your care home?

People often ask about why I choose brand names and colours

The colours tell the story

🌈 Rainbow = inclusion, new beginnings, hope, happiness
Teal = calm, safe, not overwhelming
Yellow = creativity and enjoyment
Red = confidence and love

And it's a nod to where it all started with kids Bee happy

Hi, I’m Zoe the face behind Sand Arts & Crafts

I run calm, creative workshops and parties for children and families across Morecambe and beyond

But for me… it’s about so much more than crafts.

It’s about:
✨ Seeing a child’s face when they’re proud of what they’ve made
✨ Creating calm, inclusive spaces where every child feels comfortable
✨ Supporting SEN families who sometimes need things done a little differently
✨ Giving parents a moment to breathe while I take care of the fun

I’m DBS checked, childcare qualified, SEN aware and paediatric first aid trained
so you know your children are in safe hands

You’ll usually find me with a strong cappuccino ☕, a big smile, and a room full of colour, laughter and creativity.

Is sand art suitable for mixed ages?

Yes — this is one of the reasons sand art works so well at events and parties.

Younger children enjoy pouring the sand and watching the colours appear, while older children often enjoy planning colour patterns and taking their time with more detailed designs.

There are also lots of different picture designs to choose from, so children can pick something they like and work at their own level.

Because the steps are simple to follow, children of different ages can all enjoy the activity together. 🌈
