Uni milestone......had such a fun day today in the orthotics lab!
Made my first ever pair of insoles. From a foam impression box and plaster cast capture to a pair of customised 3/4 insoles! 😀💃❤

So I was super smug today because after starting my degree in September 2020 it was our first ever time in an actual lecture theatre......oh the joy......and it was Awesome!!! 😃💃💃💃

So I just wanted to say how overwhelmed I am with the response to me offering a complimentary foot assessment clinic! 😃🙌
I never thought i would get that amount of interest so thank you! 🙏

So I have 2 weeks now of exams and assignment deadlines. One of which I found out I had passed today! Whoop whoop! ❤💃💃💃 Then I have to do some compulsory clinics at Uni, so I'm realistically looking at starting the clinics from
👣 MONDAY 21ST JUNE 👣

Just to confirm I am in my 1st year of my Podiatric Medicine Degree with 2 more years to go. So I'm not qualified, by no means an expert and still have so much more learning to go. Though I am eager, really want to practice the skills I have learnt and more importantly want to pass on all this knowledge to you guys! ❤

*Disclaimer* I can not perform ANY podiatry treatments yet as I am not qualified nor insured to. This will be a non invasive lower limb assessment only which I will be offering free of charge.

I will update details nearer the time and let you know when the diary for the clinic will be opening.

Ok so I'm gonna start with the not so good news of that the salon will be closed for the last 2 weeks of May due to having 2 weeks of exams and assignments to get through Booooooòoo 🙈 Apologies in advance for any inconvenience.

On the plus side as I will have finished by 1st Undergraduate year in a couple of weeks I am thinking of offering complimentary lower limb examinations over the summer! This is not only great practice for me but also really interesting for you to learn a little about your lower limb and Gait 😃💃💃

The Lower Limb Assessments will be 45mins and will include:
- Arterial Flow Assessment
- Protective Sensation Assessment
- Range of Motion Assessment of the Talocrural Joint, Subtalar Joint, Mid Tarsal Joint, Metatarsophalangeal Joint and the 1st Ray.
- Foot Posture Index Assessment

Happy New Year you lovely lot!
I hope you all had a lovely evening and here's to bigger brighter things in 2021 😃
As most of you know I have taken the decision to enhance my career by starting a 3 year journey of a Full Time Podiatry degree. What is Podiatry? Is the usual response! Feet???!
PODIATRY is a branch of medicine which is devoted to the study, diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment and disorders of the entire foot ankle and lower limb from the hip down.
My goal is to specialise in MSK which involves treating conditions in the joints bones and muscles of the lower limb. Although I am not ruling anything out as I am loving treating callus & corns with a scalpel and reducing dystrophic nails at the minute 😍
Due to the amount of dedication this degree is demanding I have had to make the decision to reduce my full time hours down to 2 days which in turn may need to be reduced further if necessary. This reduction in hours also means I am unable to take on any new clients and will be working to a reduced treatment menu - details to follow.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your continued support especially throughout this last year when I was having a mini melt down, it's appreciated more than you will ever know. Also of course for always keeping me so flipping super busy! 😘

Closed for business for the 3rd time, with the new release of the new vaccine let's hope it's the last time! 😃💃
I will be in touch with anyone who is booked in for appointments in January by the end of the week to reschedule to February at the very earliest, will see what the fortnightly reviews say. Won't be too long till I see your faces again I hope! 😁

Good evening rock n Rollers!!!
Well not quite the Halloween Present I was expecting last night from Mr. Johnson!
It totally sucks, I get it but it totally sucks!!! After alot of reading and as stated below if they vote this off in Parliament on Wednesday then I have to by law close my salon doors again on Thursday 5th November. All appointments booked on Wednesday 4th November will stand but any from Thursday 4th November onwards will be cancelled. I have a list of who is booked in when so i can re book people back in in a fair manner when I re open.
Everything crossed that something changes between now and Thursday but as it stands I wanted to let you know the situation! Thanks for all your love, support and amazing loyalty as always! You rock!!! ❤
