The Sands Care Home

The Sands Care Home The Sands Care Home is a Residential and Nursing Care Home in Morecambe. The Sands Care Home is an 97 bedded privately owned family run business.

The owners play an active roll in the day to day running of the home and are on hand to support residents' families and staff. Every effort is made to accommodate our residents' individual needs and support them in their transition from hospital, home or other care home.

We had a wonderful, emotional afternoon watching our Geoffs film about fighting in the war, landing on D-Day and his experiences afterwards. The pride, appreciation and respect in the room was palpable and the conversations that followed were incredible.

We have some fabulous friends and followers of us here at the Sands. In a recent post, I asked if anyone could help us get through the huge stock of wool we have by making some lap blankets ... Well Ann did just that, and Gemma also gave us 5 beautiful large blankets that our residents have absolutely loved because of their vibrant colours!!
