Moreton and Meols PCN Walking Group

Moreton and Meols PCN Walking Group This is the official page for the Moreton and Meols Primary Care Network (PCN) walking group. Anybody is welcome. Any questions, feel free to send a message.

Welcome to the page for the Moreton and Meols PCN Walking Group! The walk is run by the health and wellbeing coaches for Moreton and Meols PCN, Max and Jez. We want to promote the importance of physical activity and making connections within the community to improve your physical and mental wellbeing. We meet up every Wednesday morning at 10am just opposite Moreton Methodist Church. We walk around the outside of Lingham park, roughly 1.4 miles or 2.2km. The walk takes roughly 45 minutes (depending on how fast you want to go!). If that's not tempting enough, there is also:

⛾ Tea, coffee, and biscuits in Moreton Methodist Church afterwards. They run a 'Can-Do Food Club' on a Wednesday morning from 11am until 1:30pm. The tea/coffee and biscuits are free but your are welcome to offer a small donation. If you are struggling with the cost of living, they also offer food crates. More information is available at: https://familytoolbox.co.uk/.../can-do-food-club-moreton.../

🧩Involve Northwest Community Connectors. They are experts at linking you in with local community services.

😔 Something troubling your mind? Speak to one of the health coaches on the walk and they can offer some support and guidance. We hope to see you there!

***COST OF LIVING SUPPORT***
Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most across the UK

"Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. We believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.

We work with grass-roots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go."

They have recently launched cost-of-living grants for households across the UK to help with food, clothing and household energy costs, but will consider anything that helps meet children's most basic needs. The grants are £50 per child per household.
