Today is probably up there with one of the best days of my life 😍

When I was working in my other job alongside this doing 12-14 hour days, someone I worked with at the time said “what would you be doing if you wasn’t in here working today” I told her I’d be out running!

And I’ve just finished 14 miles in amazing February sun ☀️

I’ve done the school run, got myself a coffee from the coffee shop 😍, done some cleaning / washing, worked for a few hours and then went out and done my run

I absolutely love what I do and get to do and it’s all thanks to my amazing clients so thank you!! ❤️

🌟 Some Exciting News 🌟

So last week I enrolled on a new course to become a BIOMECHANICS COACH 🤸‍♂️

Over the past few years, I’ve become more interested in movement patterns in my job role and why people come in with the problems they do. To say “this is tight” or “something is compensating” isn’t really the answer we need to prevent things reoccurring!

The course will allow me to properly assess movement patterns to gain a better understanding of what’s going on within the body and offer a much better service to you all ❤️

How many times have you heard these comments when telling people you are going for a sports massage ❓

“Enjoy”

Or how many times have you almost put it off as it feels like you’re treating yourself to something luxurious ❓ I’ve definitely been there with that one myself! 👀

A lot of clients I treat are training for Ironman events, they run businesses whilst taking care of families, they are training for marathons whilst holding down full time jobs whilst taking care of families, they have 1 hour commutes before working full time to come back and still be present with the kids, they show up daily for their business despite the demands placed on their body… it is normalised now for us all to lead such busy lifestyles and I know how it feels! 🏃‍♀️ 🤯

Our bodies are being put through a lot and if sports massage is something that helps us keep going and show up… this should be seen as a necessity rather than indulgent self care! 🙌

It’s doing too much, too soon
Your heart and lungs adapt quickly
Your muscles take a little longer
Your tendons, bones, and joints take even longer

That’s why so many new runners feel great to start with then suddenly end up with shin pain, Achilles issues, knee pain, or plantar fascia pain

If you’re new to running:
✔ Start slow
✔ Increase distance or time gradually (not everything at once)
✔ Include walk breaks if needed
✔ Remember your rest days, ideally at least 24 hours between each session

I have many years experience within training and racing, mainly running and cycling. i have been competing in cross country running since I was 8 and more recently, I represented Team GB age group team duathlon in Spain.

I have a passion for sport and helping people and i decided to train to become a sports massage therapist. The knowledge I have taken from my racing, helps me further understand the way our bodies work And enable me to offer the best service I possibly can.
