I am very privileged to do the job I now do. To be able to help people feel better every day is such a great thing to do with my time.

No two clients are the same and every massage, reiki session or reflexology treatment teaches me and my client something new about them.

I also am lucky enough to get many returning customers and to see their progress through life, which is fascinating and most importantly to celebrate the good times and help ease through the bad.

I am only a complementary therapist but it's the best job I've ever had ❤️

Well it is Friday so how about some essential oils with an aphrodisiac effect?

It's not a coincidence that flowers are given as a token of love and also that some of the aphrodisiac oils are amongst the most expensive.

Rose and Jasmine oil in their pure form are fabulous if expensive floral oils. Both oils can balance the hormones, boost libido and increase desire.

On a more economical basis neroli and geranium are still floral oils and can have a calming and relaxing aphrodisiac effect.

A more surprising oil is patchouli, that's right the oil that Egyptians used on their dead. This oil can boost libido and desire in both men and women

Did you know that some essential oils actually as pain relief?

It tends to be the warm spicey oils that will make you think of food

My first point of call would always be black pepper, not just for pizza, it is an effective analgesic.

My thoughts would then turn to sweeter heat and I would look to ginger oil before going into full on Christmas mode and breaking out the cinnamon, nutmeg and clove oils.

To add to these essential oils I would also modify the carrier oil and again using heat add a little mustard or turmeric oil.
