🌟 Understanding Sensory Modulation in Children 🌟

Did you know that children experience the world through their senses — touch, sight, sound, taste, and movement? Sometimes, kids can become overwhelmed or under-responsive to sensory input, which can affect their behavior, emotions, and learning.

Sensory modulation is a child's ability to regulate and respond appropriately to sensory information. When this system is working well, children can stay calm, focused, and engaged. But when it's not, they might feel anxious, irritable, or overwhelmed.

Supporting sensory modulation can help children:

-Manage their emotions better
-Improve focus and attention
-Feel more comfortable in different environments
-Develop better social skills

If you're noticing your child struggles with sensory sensitivities, know that there are strategies and supports available to help them thrive!
