This Mother’s Day, we warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the love, strength, and kindness shared by mums, grandmothers, and motherly figures who continue to brighten our lives in so many ways.

At Graham J Sullivan Funeral Directors, our Memorial Tree stands as a hopeful and uplifting tribute. A place where memories can blossom anew. This year, each memory tag is made from wildflower seed paper, symbolising how love continues to grow. Once the display comes to an end, the tags will be planted, allowing your tributes to bloom into living reminders of those held dearly in your heart.

If you'd like to leave a message, you are welcome to visit and hang a tag in honour of someone special.
If you’re unable to attend in person, simply send us a message with the wording you’d like, and we will place a tag on the tree for you with care.

Grief can be really hard for children to understand and cope with. As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, we are highlighting our Letters to Heaven booklet, a gentle resource designed to help young children talk about and express their feelings following a bereavement.

These booklets are available all year round, not just during Children’s Mental Health Week.

✨ A Heartfelt Thank You ✨

Yesterday, we had the honour of guiding a truly special farewell, one shaped with love, personality, and a spirit as timeless as the stars.

To the family, thank you for trusting us to look after your loved one. It was a privilege to help create a personalised goodbye that reflected not only who they were, but also the things they cherished including their wonderful love of Doctor Who.

In our own small way, we hoped to craft a send‑off worthy of a true traveller of time and space, meaningful, unique, and full of heart.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Llanelli Crematorium and especially to Cary, who took such care and time with the family. Their dedication in helping personalise the space made the farewell feel even more fitting and heartfelt.

May the memories you shared continue to shine brightly, just like constellations that stay with us long after the TARDIS lights fade.

"The Dash"

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own,
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard;
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect
And more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So when your eulogy is being read
With your life's actions to rehash,
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?
