I’m Katy-Anne — a laughter-based wellbeing facilitator working across workplaces, communities and collaborations in Scotland.
I work with people and organisations to regulate stress, reconnect, and build sustainable wellbeing.
Still rooted in laughter — showing how it helps and why it works.

Still rooted in laughter — showing how it helps and why it works

Laughter doesn’t need jokes. For wellbeing, it begins with safety, structure and shared participation. Even one structured session can shift mood, and regular practice builds regulation habits. Delivered as part of the 7 Steps to Health event with Rainbow Valley Charity at Gleddoch House Hotel & Spa. Now booking 2026 wellbeing sessions.

Tomorrow I have the privilege of closing Rainbow Valley’s 7 Steps to Health event with laughter.
Their question — “What made you smile today?” — sits so beautifully alongside the work I do.
Thank you for holding space for people affected by cancer, and for reminding us that connection matters 💛

Running a sole trade or micro-business often means carrying pressure quietly — there’s no separate HR team, no spare capacity, and very little space to pause. These shared workplace wellbeing sessions are designed for sole traders and micro-businesses who want to move workplace wellbeing from words into practice — in a way that’s realistic, inclusive and affordable. Facilitated wellbeing sessions using laughter, breath and guided reset tools to support focus, wellbeing and sustainable working. A shared burden lightens the load. Share the space. Split the cost. Make new connections. Comment or DM to register interest.

I’m gathering insight into how workplace wellbeing is supported in sole traders and micro-businesses — especially where there’s no in-house HR.
I’m interested in what’s working, what’s missing, and what support actually feels useful in real working lives.
If this resonates, you’re welcome to take part in a short anonymous survey.

Even as a holistic wellbeing practitioner, I still need reminding to step out of sole-trader mode and actually prioritise my own wellbeing.
When I do, I notice the difference almost immediately — I’m more focused, more creative, and far more productive.
Wellbeing isn’t something we add on once the work is done.
It’s part of how the work works.
If you’re a sole trader or running a micro-business, this might resonate more than you realise.

New year, new connections — not failed resolutions.
January has a way of quietening things down, emotionally as much as socially.
We’re not meant to move through it alone.
Connection doesn’t have to be loud or performative.
Sometimes it’s as simple as breath, shared space, and a moment of lightness.
I shared a short reflection on this recently — it’s there if you’d like it.NewYearNewConnections

January doesn’t have to be about fixing yourself.
It can be about connection.
About laughter.
About not carrying winter alone.
I’ve shared a new blog reflecting on winter, wellbeing, and why laughter can be a gentle first step into the year.
