We’re so pleased to share that Yvonne, one of the therapists based here at The Therapy Suite Lanarkshire, is launching a free online space for professionals 🤍

Trauma Talk is a relaxed, reflective group for practitioners working with trauma to come together, share ideas and explore both established and emerging approaches in trauma treatment.

This is a space for curiosity and connection, rather than supervision or formal CPD - welcoming professionals from a range of backgrounds, modalities and levels of experience.

You’re welcome to join as often (or as little) as suits you, with each session standing alone.
All the details are in the poster below - feel free to share with anyone who might be interested.

Therapy from the comfort of your own home and support that fits around you, no matter where you are ✨

For local clients, there’s also the flexibility to choose between in-person or online sessions at any time - whatever suits you best. 🌼

World Mental Health Day 💚

Today is a reminder that looking after your mental health is so important but doesn’t always have to mean big steps - sometimes it’s the small things: a walk, a chat with someone who listens, or simply giving yourself a minute to pause and breathe.

Therapy can help you understand and care for yourself in ways that ripple into every part of your life. But even if you’re not in therapy, please do things to take care of you. Activities you enjoy, reaching out to others, and talking about how you feel ✨

I thought about all the self-care activities I could list here… but the truth is, self-care doesn’t have to be anything big!

It doesn’t have to be a weekend by the beach castle hunting (although this was amazing ✨).

It can be taking a few minutes to breathe when we notice we are rushing from one thing to the next 🌿
Meeting a friend for a walk, a chat, and a laugh 👯
Saying no to something when we feel tired or overwhelmed 🛑

It’s in the little glimmers - appreciating the sunshine ☀️ , enjoying your favourite coffee ☕️ , or getting a cuddle from your pet 🐶🐱

My favourite part of self-care is learning to be kinder to myself - and supporting others to do the same. ✨

🌱 Trauma-informed principles aren’t just for “trauma work” - they’re at the heart of how I practice.

For me, this means showing up in ways that prioritise safety, trust, and collaboration, and being mindful of each client’s past experiences, triggers, and beliefs.

I believe everyone benefits from spaces where they feel respected, empowered, and understood - and these principles guide me in creating that 🤍
