Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy (for low-risk, healthy pregnancies. Always consult your own Health Care Provider) 🤍
Here are 5 simple, evidence-based tips to help you feel your best while growing your little one:
Take your pregnancy vitamins daily
Aim for folic acid (especially in early pregnancy) and vitamin D as recommended by your midwife/pharmacist.
Hydrate + eat little and often
Keep water nearby and choose balanced snacks (protein + fibre) to help with energy, nausea and blood sugar dips.
Move your body gently most days
Walking, swimming and prenatal yoga are great. If anything feels painful, dizzy, or “not right” — stop and check in with your midwife.
Prioritise sleep + rest
Nap when you can, build a calming bedtime routine, and try side-sleeping (a pillow between knees can be a game-changer!).
Listen to your body and get checked if worried
Reduced movements, bleeding, severe headaches, swelling, pain, or anything that concerns you = always worth a call to your midwife/maternity unit.
