🔴Red Light Therapy for Ilium Fracture Recovery
Our client came to us following a fall from a horse, which resulted in a fracture to the ilium — the broad, upper part of the pelvis. While these types of fractures typically require rest and time, we’ve introduced targeted Red Light Therapy (RLT) to support his body’s natural healing processes and help him return to mobility faster.
🔬 How RLT Helps This Specific Injury:
🦴Bone Healing Support
Near-infrared wavelengths pe*****te deep enough to stimulate osteoblast activity — the cells responsible for rebuilding bone tissue. This is key for a large, load-bearing structure like the ilium, which needs solid regeneration for future stability.
💥Reduction of Inflammation Around the SI Joint
The ilium is closely connected to the sacroiliac (SI) joint, which often becomes inflamed following trauma. RLT helps reduce inflammation around this joint, easing secondary pain and pressure.
💢Muscle & Fascia Repair
The fall caused surrounding soft tissue trauma and compensatory tightness. RLT boosts collagen synthesis and cellular repair in muscles and fascia — accelerating recovery without manual contact.
🩸Improved Circulation to the Pelvis
Enhanced microcirculation from red light exposure helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to the fracture site — speeding up healing while supporting lymphatic drainage to reduce fluid build-up and stiffness.
We’re using RLT twice a week, allowing the body to respond gradually while integrating rest, medical care, and controlled movement.
✨ Healing takes time, but the right tools can make the journey smoother, stronger and faster.
