A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Table Top Sale tonight – we had a fantastic time!

We were especially honoured to welcome our special guest, Geoff Billington. Geoff very kindly donated a truly special framed photograph of his Olympic horse, signed by him, for The Cavalier Centre Auction. 🐴

🐎✨ **Volunteer Opportunity - Vaulting at The Cavalier Centre** ✨🐎

Looking for a fun and rewarding way to spend your Sunday? Join us as a Vaulting Volunteer!

🗓 Sundays | 1:00–3:00 PM

You’ll be working alongside a coach and supporting participants as they experience the exciting sport of horse vaulting - a unique mix of dance, gymnastics, and horsemanship performed on horseback.

💫 Who we’re looking for

* People with a dance or gymnastics background (helpful but not essential)
* Anyone with a willingness to learn about vaulting and enjoy working with people and horses.

🌟 This is a fantastic opportunity to:

* Be part of an inspiring equestrian community
* Help participants build confidence and skills
* Learn more about the amazing sport of vaulting

Whether you already love horses or simply want to try something new, we’d love to hear from you!

Buyers – FREE entry!

Come along to The Cavalier Centre this Friday evening for a fantastic Table Top Sale and a chance to meet Geoff Billington, Olympic show jumper, who will be joining us with his special tack room clear-out. This is a rare opportunity to pick up quality equestrian items and hidden treasures direct from one of the sport’s greats.

We’ll also have a wide range of other stall holders, so whether you're looking for bargains, gifts, or equestrian equipment, there will be something for everyone.

We are seeking - A Yard Manager here at The Cavalier Centre!

Help us deliver exceptional equine care and life changing equestrian opportunities!

Here at the Cavalier Centre, we are looking to hire an experienced and proactive Yard Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our horses and ponies, ensuring we have the right equines to support our RDA programme, riding, vaulting, carriage driving and other equine therapy based activities.

If you’re passionate about top-notch horse welfare, love running a tidy, well-organised yard, and can lead a team of staff and volunteers with a calm, positive approach, this could be for you.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:
• BHS stage 2 (or equivalent experience) and a confident and proficient rider.
• Strong equine care and stable management background.
• Organised, calm under pressure and able to lead and motivate others.
• Good IT skills (including the ability to learn / use systems such as EC pro)
• Commitment to safeguarding, this role requires an enhanced DBS check)

Desirable:
• BHS stage 3, RDA coaching experience, first aid at work.
• Experience managing a riding school and / or working with volunteers.
• BSL / Makaton knowledge.

🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE – VAULTING SESSION CANCELLED TODAY (Sunday 22nd February) 🚨

Due to unforeseen circumstances, today’s vaulting session at The Cavalier Centre has been cancelled.

❗ Please do NOT travel to the Centre for vaulting today, as this session will not be running.

We apologise for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause.

Today, The Cavalier Centre was honoured to attend the Open Day at The Movement Centre, where Jane Barker and Hayley Jay shared their knowledge and insight into Hippotherapy and the profound benefits it offers to participants.

It was a privilege to speak with physiotherapists, families, and professionals who are so deeply committed to improving lives. We were grateful for the opportunity to share more about The Cavalier Centre and how our work with horses supports physical development, emotional wellbeing, and confidence for so many individuals.

There was a genuine sense of shared purpose throughout the day, and it was encouraging to connect with others who recognise the value of equine-assisted therapy.

Our sincere thanks to The Movement Centre for the invitation, and to everyone who took the time to listen, ask questions, and learn more about what we do. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and working together to make a lasting difference.
