Just having a sort out, would anyone like this bargain Italian Patapum buckle carrier? (£15)

It’s suitable 6-14kg and you can front and back carry with it.
This is a new carrier that I just don’t have room for. Happy to post out if cost is covered.

A note on snowsuits here because I see it a lot. Also if you’re not following her already I 💯 recommend giving this lady Coorie in with love a follow whilst I’m still on maternity leave

🚨 CARRYING SAFETY 🚨

Using a snowsuit or pramsuit in a sling or carrier can be dangerous! It may be tempting to wrap baby up when being carried but you forget that they are attached to a radiator... You!

❗Pramsuits and snowsuits are only for in a pram, when baby has no other heat source and open to the elements.

❗When baby is in a carrier, they are getting all the heat from your body as you are moving and walking. You all know how hot you can get when carrying, especially if you have those post birth flushes!

Let's look more at the why it can be dangerous..

‼️Overheating, the major one. All of baby's heat is trapped in the suit and will get warmer with your body heat too. A baby will not be able to tell you they are too hot and probably fall asleep.

‼️ Poor positioning, with a thick padded suit or jacket, it will effect the position of baby in the carrier, they will end up in a starfish position instead of a nice supported seated carry. This can cause slumping and carrier or sling to not fit securely or safely.

This can also be uncomfortable for you and baby.

‼️ Slumping, with all the padding and poor positioning, baby may end up slumping down into the suit or carrier causing an asphyxiation risk.

🥶If you want to keep baby and you warm in the cold, layer up! Layers are easy to open or take off depending what you are doing.

🚨Also remember that the same applies for carseats!

🤔What sling is best for a scrunchy little newborn?
🌊So far we’ve tried stretchy wraps, ring slings, woven wraps and a couple of buckles.
I’m also one of them mums “my baby hates the sling” but I need to get the dog walked 🤦🏼‍♀️
❗️Newsflash, she doesn’t really hate it but she really doesn’t enjoy being pulled about whilst I’m anxiously faffing about because her legs don’t look right or I haven’t got the desired neat fancy finish 😅
🌊So today the sling that’s getting us out the door is the new Hana Expand buckle carrier just because we got a good position and my little one was happy!

🌊The bottom line is you don’t know what will work until you try a few out. I’d be gutted if I’d splashed out on a really expensive sling and it not being right for us. There really is a sling for everyone but it’s not a one size fits all.

🌊That’s why visiting a sling library can take out a lot of the stress on getting the right sling and having a consultation with a professional like myself can make life with your little one a lot easier from the start.

🌊I’m not running drop in sessions at the moment because I’m having time adjusting to life with a tiny human again however doorstep pick up and postal hires are still available.

Ps I’m still working on wonderful wovens with my baby because they’re all so beautiful and a bit like learning to ride your bike! And yep my 5 year old would still get up on my back in one 🥰

🙏Please please please🙏 if you have a sling out and you know it’s due back or I have contacted you and you haven’t messaged back can you please make contact and arrange to get the sling back or purchase it. I really don’t want to ring/message you all individually because it takes a lot of time and energy out of my day.
