I would like to thank John Kneller for his service, thank you also to Ian Davidson for his graveside service. Thanks to Woodburn Miners club for the beautiful buffet.

My mother was an extremely intelligent lady; she left Dalkeith high school in 1953 with well above average qualifications in 12 subjects. In her Pitman’s shorthand exam, she dictated at the speed of 120 words a min. Mum loved her week in Blair Athol in August this year, followed by 5 days in Balloch and 4 days in Inverness and 2 days in Pitlochry. A big thank you to Archview Care Home for what you did for us a family. A grand total of £300 was raised for Chest, Heart and Stroke association in memory of mum. May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

It is with heavy hearts the family announce the sudden passing of John on 22nd October 2025 at East Lothian Community Hospital, Haddington. John, dearly loved dad to Louise, cherished grandad to Mary, Sallyann, David, Tiffany, Chantelle, Richard and Rebecca, cherished great-great grandad to Lyalljack and Kalijay, great grandad to his many great grandchildren and a loving brother to Liz, Mary, Flo, Ellen, Tommy, David and James.
