A celebration of the life of Barry Gravenor will take place on Friday 1st May , 2pm at The Dusty Miller Mytholmroyd.
Barry wished for an unattended cremation and wanted all those who cared about him to meet in the pub, raise a glass and share their own stories in a more relaxed environment.
The family has asked me to share this information and that anyone who wishes to attend is warmly welcome.

Our beautiful Acorn chapel is available for funeral or memorial services. It holds up to 50 people seated. It has a Bluetooth music system, an easel for displaying items, a TV screen for photo tributes and a tranquil decor.
Many families are choosing this as an alternative to everyone having to travel to one of the crematoriums. Free on site parking and also on a direct bus route through the valley. Just one of the many things we offer to all our families. Please follow/like our page for up to date information about funerals, services and products.

The funeral of the late Mrs Pauline Holt will take place on Tuesday 7th April at St Thomas' Church Heptonstall at 12.15pm

Just a quiet note to say if you are struggling today then please reach out, you are not on your own, grief forms many paths through our hearts, not just for those who have died but for those we have difficult relationships with, for those we never quite made it with, and for those we can't seem to say goodbye to. Yes, mothers day is just one day but it can often prod raw emotion to the surface, emotion we thought we had under control.
However you navigate today, I just wanted to check in and say you're not on your own, my phone is on 24/7 and I am here to listen. Please share so we can reach anyone who might need a friendly listening ear , much love , Paula ###x

As today is International Women's Day , I would like to thank all the inspirational women I have had the pleasure of working alongside so far and all those just around the corner that I'm yet to bump into. In a tough old world there is too much negativity, too much judgemental behaviour and not enough positive promotion of the fact that Women are amazing at being themselves.
