👣 5 SIMPLE WAYS TO LOOK AFTER YOUR FEET AT HOME

Your feet carry you every single day — yet they’re often the most overlooked part of the body.

As a qualified Foot Health Practitioner at Feet First Mobile Footcare Clinic, here are 5 simple things we recommend to keep your feet healthy between appointments:

1️⃣ Wash & dry properly
Always dry carefully between the toes — moisture is one of the most common causes of fungal infections.

2️⃣ Trim nails straight across
Avoid cutting down the sides — this can lead to painful ingrown toenails.

3️⃣ Moisturise daily (but not between toes)
Keeping heels soft helps prevent cracks and splits — leave the space between the toes dry.

4️⃣ Check your feet weekly
Look for redness, swelling, hard skin, cracks, or nail changes.

5️⃣ Don’t ignore discomfort
Foot pain is not “just part of getting older.” Most issues are treatable when caught early.

If you’re ever unsure about your foot health, we’re always happy to offer friendly, professional advice.

When should you see a Foot Health Practitioner? 👣
Many people put foot problems off far longer than they should — often because they think “it’s just part of getting older”.
You should consider professional foot care if you have:
✔️ Painful or thickened toenails
✔️ Hard skin or corns that keep coming back
✔️ Ingrown or curved nails
✔️ Reduced flexibility making self-care difficult
✔️ Diabetes or circulation concerns
Early treatment is usually simpler, more comfortable, and far more effective.
If you’re unsure whether you need an appointment, feel free to message us for a quick, friendly chat.

FORGOTTEN FEET: As the days get colder, our feet often get forgotten under socks and boots. But winter can be tough on them – dry skin, cracked heels, and stubborn toenails don’t take a holiday!

👣 At Feet First Foot Care, we’ll help keep your feet comfortable, healthy, and winter-ready.

✨ Why winter foot care matters:

Cold weather = dry, cracked skin

Closed shoes = more nail & fungal issues

Good circulation checks are extra important in colder months

✅ Book your pre-winter foot care appointment today and give your feet the attention they deserve.

👣 A Day in the Life of My Feet 👣
(As told by… my feet!)
Hello it’s us — your feet! We’re the feet you don’t always notice until something goes wrong. We’re with you every step of the way (literally), carrying you through shopping trips, long walks, and other physical activities. But here’s a truth: life isn’t always easy down here at ground level.

Some mornings we wake up with hard skin, aching heels, or toenails that have seen better days. And let’s not even talk about corns, calluses, or our embarrassing nails.

That’s where Feet First Foot Care comes in. Carey Harvey, DipFHP RFHP knows exactly how to treat us right. When we’re feeling sore or neglected, she gently brings us back to life — trimming, treating, soothing, and reminding our owner that healthy feet mean a happier life.
