Into the Quiet 🌲✨

The Wild Wanderer path isn’t always about forging ahead — sometimes it’s about pausing to let the forest speak.

I’m stepping back for a while to rest, recalibrate, and gather fresh inspiration from the wild places that shape what I do.

☀️ Early Morning Trails 🌲

Me and the Ginger Cub headed out to Llyn Alwen reservoir at first light — that perfect hush you only get when the world’s still half-asleep. Just the sound of boots on gravel, a rising breeze through the trees, and flowers waking up to the morning sun.

There’s something grounding about these kinds of mornings. No agenda, no clock. Just a quiet trail, a billy can bubbling away beside the water, and time to soak it all in.

These are the moments that reset your compass — peaceful, simple, and just a bit wild around the edges.

🏕️ A brilliant wild camping setup with the Outhaus Davenport 1100.
Last night, the wind moved gently through the pines, filling the air with that soft, familiar sound that makes sleeping outdoors so easy — even under an overcast sky.

This morning kicked off with a proper camp breakfast: sausages, crisp potato waffle, and a perfectly runny free-range egg cooked on the stove.

The real standout, though, was a cup of Vietnamese Sira Blend coffee brewed with the Phin LC1 gravity press — rich, smooth, and full of chocolate, vanilla and caramel notes. Camp coffee at its finest.

With wide views across the Monmouthshire fields towards the Severn, it all came together for a quiet, grounding start to the day — the kind that reminds you why you head outdoors in the first place.

Every one of you is appreciated and I hope y'all had a great weekend 🙏

I'm now de-pollened and dust free and ready for next weekend as I'm off to see me good mates and .a.jones down on the sunny banks of the Severn. Can't wait!

Until then, there's a few product shots above and a few new products in the store to have a look at, but some may still be waiting on images which I will get to tomorrow!

🏕️ Trading the wilderness for some well-earned downtime ☕

I love coffee ... From unique, quirky artisan single origin beans to a simple Nescafé Azera so ... nothing beats coming home from work to a fresh delivery of freshly roasted beans from waiting on the doorstep.

This weekend I’m kicking back with their Terras Altas — a bold Brazilian single origin grown by Aurelio Figueiredo Felizall, roasted dark with rich notes of chocolate and raspberry brownie. Full-bodied, smooth, and just what I needed to slow the pace.

Brewed it using my Vietnamese Phin filter — a beautiful bit of kit dating back to the 19th century. It’s a slow drip brewer with a screw-down plate that adds just enough pressure for a deep, well-rounded glass. Simple, satisfying, and endlessly reliable.

Beans were ground with my grinder — sleek, portable, and easily the best I’ve used. Smooth burr action, solid feel, and a design that’s as tough as it is beautiful. Good job it performs as well as it looks.

📍Next stop: next weekend with my wingman — then it’s back into the forest where I feel most alive.

Finally got to photograph my new herbal tea collection - The Wild Wanderer - in their natural habitat.

For someone who's no photographer, I'm absolutely chuffed with how these turned out! 📸

Quietly launched these beauties with the new branding at The Bushcraft Show ( ) alongside my fabric, wood and leather waxes a couple of weeks ago. I'm loving how they now look

There's something magical about sipping organic herbal goodness surrounded by bird song and gentle rain 🌧️
