JOB VACANCY – Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator
Salary: £12.71 per hour (Subject to Pending 2026/27 Pay Review)
Hours: 24 hours per week [Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 8:00am
and 6:30pm] + additional overtime hours to help cover annual leave/sickness.
The Vale Of Neath Practice are looking to recruit an experienced receptionist/care
navigator to join our busy and friendly practice in Glynneath. The practice is located in
the new modern purpose-built Vale Of Neath Medical Centre in Glynneath, which is
easily accessible, by private and public transport. The post will be permanent following
a successful probation period.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated team player
to work within our small and friendly team. Ideally, you will have excellent
administrative skills and gained previous experience working within a GP practice, but
we will provide training and support.

If you do have any medication or prescription queries, then please contact the practice and press option 4 between 8.00am-4.30pm where our prescribing team will be happy to help, outside of these times you will need to ring the next day.

Repeat Prescriptions will NOT be dealt with over the phone or via AskMyGP, Please place your prescription request in the black box on the right hand side as you walk into the surgery. You can order your repeat medication through the NHS app, which you will need to download.
