🎄 Cold vs Flu: Know the Difference Before You Share More Than Presents! 🎁

‘Tis the season… for sniffles 😷

But is it just a cold, or is it the flu trying to ruin your mince pie moment?

Here’s the difference:
🤧 Cold – comes on gently, a bit of a nuisance (like a dodgy cracker joke)
🤒 Flu – hits like a sleigh with no brakes: sudden fever, body aches, and flat-out exhaustion

🎅 Top tip: If you feel proper poorly, don’t power through—rest up, wrap up, and stay home. Let’s not gift germs this Christmas! 💝

💚 Keep others safe, especially little ones and older loved ones. Check the NHS website for full symptom guidance.

Cases of flu are high this winter, so if you’re wondering whether it’s just a cold or you’re floored with flu here’s what to do.

Most symptoms can be safely managed at home. Rest, drink plenty of fluids, and use paracetamol or ibuprofen to ease aches and fever. Your pharmacist can advise on cold and flu remedies.

Antibiotics won’t help with colds and flu as they are viruses – time and self-care are best.

To stop the spread:
💉 get your flu vaccination if you are eligible
🧼 wash your hands regularly
😷 cover coughs and sneezes
