I have been quiet over the last few months, I've had lots going on! A little update as the next step in my journey as a counsellor is I am now a supervisor in training! Completing my Level 6 in Supervision. I am currently offering a reduced rate for supervision sessions for trainees and qualified counsellors. I can work with you online, telephone or face 2 face. 🌟 Feeling Run Down? It's Time to Check In!🌟

I’ve noticed today that I’m feeling more run down than usual. After some reflection, I realised that I’ve been juggling training, family commitments, and work without making any time for self-care. 😓

It’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, but our mental well-being matters just as much as our responsibilities. Here are a few reminders on how to take care of yourself, even when life gets hectic:

1. Pause and Reflect: Take a moment to check in with yourself. Are you feeling overwhelmed? It’s okay to acknowledge that!

2. Set Boundaries: Learn to say no sometimes. It’s okay to prioritise your health over obligations.

3. Schedule Self-Care: Carve out time in your day for activities that recharge you—whether it’s reading, going for a walk, or simply enjoying a quiet moment.

4. Connect with Loved Ones: Share how you’re feeling with friends or family. Sometimes just talking it out can lighten the load.

5. Practice Mindfulness: Try meditation, deep breathing, or yoga to help center yourself amidst the chaos.

Remember, it's not selfish to take care of yourself; it’s essential! 💖

So, my first step towards some self care will be to have a cuppa and some quiet time, which is really needed. How can you fit in some self care?

My favorite poem is 'Guest House' by Rumi. It reminds me that emotions are valid and temporary - they come for a reason and can leave once their purpose is served, and they are an opportunity to learn from them.
