Lewis Independent Family Funeral Directors is a family owned business established by Alun in 1982, although his experience within this profession began in 1978. Over the years we have built our reputation on being dignified, caring and professional in all aspects of our work, and whilst there have been many changes within the profession, our role continues to be one where we support families before, during and after the funeral. Today, the business continues to be family orientated, administered by Alun along with his wife Lisa and their son Gerallt. A member of the family will always be at hand to answer your call or address your query. Each are highly trained in all aspects of the funeral profession and are wholly committed to ensuring that all families are cared for sympathetically at all times. Although we are based in the depths of ‘Waterfall Country’ at Pont Nedd Fechan, outside Glynneath in the Neath Valley, we also serve the Dulais, Swansea, Cynon Valleys and beyond. Lewis Independent Family Funeral Directors is a member of the National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) and we therefore comply with the strict codes of practice demanded by the society. Lewis Independent Funeral Directors is an appointed representative of Golden Charter Limited trading as Golden Charter Funeral Plans which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN:965279).

As the year draws to a close, it’s common to think of the people who are special to us – especially those we've lost. That’s why we’ve chosen to take part in Light a Candle.

From 15 to 21 December we’ll be posting digital candles in memory of those who can’t be with us during the festive season. If you’d like to create a virtual candle, please click the following link where you can choose a design and write a short message to a loved one.

We’re pleased to announce the return of Light a Candle this Christmas!

Taking part in this Christmas’s Light a Candle gives you the opportunity to create online memorials throughout the festive period.

Christmas is a special time to celebrate with family and friends, and our virtual candles are a thoughtful way to pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.

We'll be sharing virtual candles on our page between 15 and 21 December. There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.
