🇬🇧 Remembrance Sunday 2025 🇬🇧

On Sunday, cadets and staff from 1104 (Pendle) Squadron, were honoured to participate in the Remembrance Parades held in Colne and Nelson.

The Squadron joined members of the Armed Forces, veterans, civic leaders, and the local community in paying tribute to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our nation.

Our cadets conducted themselves with the highest standards of respect, discipline, and professionalism throughout both parades and services. Their exemplary bearing is a reflection of their commitment to upholding the values of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

We will remember them. 🌺

🎃 1104 Pendle Squadron Halloween 2025!👻

Our cadets went all out for Halloween this year — from spooky skeletons and classic vampires to Jedi, villains, and even a cow 🐄! There seemed to be a Smurfs takeover this year, made even more spooky with the boss dressing as Gargamel!

1104 (Pendle) Squadron Needs You!
Become part of something extraordinary – help inspire the next generation with the RAF Air Cadets (RAFAC).

We’re looking for adult volunteers to join our dedicated team at 1104 (Pendle) Squadron. Whether you can give a few hours a week or more, you can make a real difference to young people. Without volunteers, we struggle to provide the opportunities that the RAFAC has to offer.

Roles Available:
👩‍🏫 Civilian Instructors – learn & share your skills and mentor our cadets.
Civilian Welfare Committee - Meet every 8-12 weeks and support the squadron with fundraising and cadet welfare.

What You’ll Gain:

Silver DofE practice Day 2 ⛰️

Today cadets took on the challenge of reaching the summit of the pike of Blisco, although the weather was much nicer today.

This challenged their mental and physical resilience with a steep ascent and some introductions to some small scrambles.

Despite the challenge all cadets reached the summit and finished the weekend with smiles on their faces.

Silver Duke of Edinburgh practice day 1⛰️

Today cadets developed their skills and confidence in navigating as well as getting to know each other within their group.

Despite the weather being wet they all did very well and finished with smiles on their faces 🙂

An enormous congratulations to the 12 amazing cadets who proudly represented 1104 (Pendle) Squadron at this year’s Cumbria & Lancashire Wing Competitions Day!

🎯 1104 (Pendle) Squadron at Wing Annual Camp! 🌿

Last week, 5 cadets and 2 staff from 1104 (Pendle) Squadron attended the Cumbria and Lancashire Wing Annual Camp at Halton Training Centre.

Throughout the week, cadets took part in a wide range of exciting and challenging activities, including:

🎯 Target Shooting
💂‍♂️ Foot Drill & Arms Drill
🗺️ Navigation
🛶 Raft Building
🔬 STEM Activities
🌲 Fieldcraft Training

It was a fantastic week of learning, teamwork, and adventure. Our cadets represented 1104 with pride, enthusiasm, and determination throughout – a massive well done to all who took part! 👏
