⚠️FAKE BLOOD AND SENARIOS⚠️
Last Sunday I spent an epic CPD day with my wonderful Wirral Community First Responder team, thanks to the legends at the Merseyside Police Protective Training Unit 🚓🚑

We got thrown into seriously realistic trauma and medical scenarios, I’m talking fake blood everywhere, prosthetic injuries that looked too real, and sound effects dramatic enough to rival a film set. 🎬🩸

As someone who’s usually the one doing the teaching, it was actually brilliant to be the student for once… even if it meant being absolutely put through my paces. Tested? YES. Slightly terrified? Maybe. Loved every second? 100%! 😂

Honestly, it was the BEST day, I learned loads, laughed loads, and came home looking like I’d walked straight off the set of a disaster movie.

Massive well done to everyone who joined today’s First Aid training session! 👏
We had a day full of laughs, learning, and maybe a few questionable bandaging techniques at first, but by the end, you all smashed it.

There’s nothing better than seeing a team come together, build confidence, and pick up life-saving skills along the way. ❤️

We might joke, we might laugh, but the truth is, First Aid saves lives. Every skill you learned today could make the difference in an emergency, for a colleague, a friend, or even a loved one. 🫶

So, well done team! You didn’t just pass a course… you became someone’s potential hero. 👏💚⛑️

🔥🎆 Bonfire Night is almost here! 🎆🔥
Bring on the sparklers, hot chocolate, woolly hats… and zero trips to A&E, please 😅

Here are your friendly first-aid-approved safety tips:

🎇 Keep a bucket of water/sand handy, fireworks are fun, fire engines not so much
👀 Eyes on the kiddos (they move faster than fireworks)
🚫 Never go back to a lit firework, it’s NOT asking for a second chance
✨ Sparklers get hotter than a pizza oven, give little ones glow sticks instead
🧯 Non-flammable clothing = still looking cute, but safer
📏 Stand back & follow the distance guidelines, your eyebrows will thank you

🔥 If someone does get a burn:
⛑️Cool it under cool running water for 20 minutes
⛑️Remove jewellery/clothing near the burn (if not stuck)
⛑️Cover the burn in clean cling film or similar
‼️No ice, no creams, no butter (save that for your toast 🧈)

Stay toasty, stay safe, and enjoy the fireworks💚🎇🎆
