As we continue with our planned refurbishment work, we have some more office furniture which is redundant.
5 x office chairs
They are free for people to come and collect and if you would like to make a donation to the patient gift fund it would be much appreciated.
Just pop into reception and one of the lovely receptionists will show you where they are being stored.

Have you got a cough, cold or flu like illness?

You can find out exactly which virus is causing your symptoms and help public health by taking part in our respiratory viral surveillance programme.

It's best to request a swab kit at the earliest signs of your illness. You can request the self-swabbing kit through this link: https://takeatestuk.com/

Please include our practice code C83031 as you will be required to enter this as the mandatory ‘Voucher code’. You will also need to enter their NHS number to request a self-swab kit - you can find this on any hospital letter or the NHS app.

Everyone can take part - there is no upper or lower age limit but we do ask you limit it to one kit per household.

Are you someone who chooses not to attend for a smear - if so, we want to know more?

At Nettleham Medical Practice we've identified that there is a reasonable proportion of patients whom do not attend for their cervical screening, and we would like to gather some more information about why that is. There's no pressure, this isn't a form to tell you that you must attend or you're wrong for not doing so, but more for us to gain a deeper understanding of the barriers which face those who choose not to attend. From this information, we will look to develop new materials or methods for encouraging people to attend that have a patient-focused message. Please note this survey is anonymous and your response will not be shared with anyone outside of the surgery.

Building work at Nettleham
The refurbishment work at Nettleham Medical Practice is going well. Three clinical rooms are now complete and the final four will be completed by Christmas.
We are pleased to say that we have been successful in obtaining some funding to build two additional clinical rooms at Nettleham. Approximately a third of the waiting room is being re-purposed for these rooms. These two additional rooms, will mean that the practice is able to offer appointments with wider healthcare professionals such as clinical pharmacists, first contact physiotherapists and mental health practitioner who are contracted by Imp PCN to provide services for our patients at a local level. The building work will start today and should be completed by mid February 2026.
We apologise in advance for any disruption and our appearance whilst the building work is completed.

A major new study by Healthwatch Lincolnshire will measure how health and social care is working in the county ahead of changes to the way health and care is managed and provided.

The survey gives everyone in the county the chance to share their latest health and social care experiences to create a picture of the state of health and social care in Lincolnshire.
The timing couldn’t be better for public voice to have real impact with significant changes on the way. This involves national and local changes to the NHS and proposed changes to local councils. This is in addition to the plans being driven by the government’s Department of Health and Social Care and the recent release of the 10-Year Health Plan.
It’s vital we know what it’s really like for people living in our county when they use local services, from GP surgeries, hospitals and dentists to social care, community support or any other professional who helps with health or care.
Healthwatch Lincolnshire will also use these results to see what’s working well and where improvements are needed to influence those who plan, deliver and monitor services across Lincolnshire, including the NHS, local councils, and care providers.

The survey can be accessed here - https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/IJWFDL/
