Our practice helping to run the D-MAPP Study.

This study is focused on the development and evaluation of the Digital-My Arm Pain Programme, a new digital support programme designed to help people manage painful distal upper limb musculoskeletal disorders (such as wrist, forearm, or elbow pain).

The study has been reviewed and approved by the NIHR Research & Development (R&D) teams and is also being promoted through local Integrated Care Boards (ICBs).

It's best to request a swab kit at the earliest signs of your illness. You can request the self-swabbing kit through this link: https://takeatestuk.com/

Please include our practice code C83031 as you will be required to enter this as the mandatory ‘Voucher code’. You will also need to enter their NHS number to request a self-swab kit - you can find this on any hospital letter or the NHS app.

Everyone can take part - there is no upper or lower age limit but we do ask you limit it to one kit per household.

As we enter into flu season earlier than usual, we are helping with a national study into whether one year old infants would benefit from having the flu vaccination. If you've had a letter regarding the Flu-SNIFF study and not yet responded, there is still time. Simply follow the instructions in the letter to contact the study team directly. If you don't have the letter any more and are interested, do get in touch with Dr Williams or Sarah Bassett who can put you in touch with them.

The planned refurbishment work has now started so the practice has the following items that are no longer required.

8 x 4 drawer filing cabinets
1 x 3 drawer filing cabinet
2 x 2 drawer filing cabinet
1 round folding table
1 round coffee table
2 x trolleys
4 x office chairs
Selection of toys

They are free for people to come and collect and if you would like to make a donation to the patient gift fund it would be much appreciated.
Just pop into reception and one of the lovely receptionists will show you where they are being stored.
