New Quay Surgery currently has 1386 patients registered with no mobile number on record. These patients sadly miss out on appointment reminders and text invitations for seasonal immunisations and will soon miss out on the ability to self book appointments too.

Next time you contact the surgery please check we have your mobile number on file and if you change your existing mobile number please remember to let us know.

Although we appreciate that not all patients have or particularly like mobile phones, with ever increasing postage costs and reduced budgets available to GP Surgeries, most are now switching to digital messages which are encouraged and funded by the NHS. This technology, which has been with us for 30yrs, provides a personal messaging facility to individual patients which unless deleted will remain on their phone as a permanent reminder and record of previous appointments.

• Aged under 75 with a weakened immune system
