​We meet every Monday to share what's on our minds, support one another, and find solutions to the stuff dragging us down. It's not about formal therapy; it's about mates helping mates.

It’s a calm, friendly space where lads can talk, listen, share what’s going on, or just sit with a brew and not feel alone. No pressure to open up if you don’t want to. Just turn up as you are.

Many of you will have seen the sad news today about Jamie Poole.

While formal identification has not yet taken place, the police have confirmed that a body has been found and Jamie’s family have been informed.

It’s heartbreaking news and it will hit hard for a lot of people.

If you’re struggling, feeling lost or just need to talk, please reach out. You don’t have to face anything on your own.

Our group is here for each other. Whether it’s a chat, a brew or just sitting together in silence, you’re not alone.

Mental health problems don't define you

💙 A Personal Message from Carla 💙

I’ve been awake since 5am, thinking about a local man who has been missing from his family for four days.
We don’t know the circumstances, or whether he has been struggling with his mental health — but it’s hard not to wonder.

Moments like this are a reminder of my reasons for starting Newark Town Team Talk last year: to give men a place to talk, to listen, and to know they’re not alone.

That’s why I’m taking part in a 20-mile walk on the 22nd of November to raise funds for Newark Town Team Talk.
Every penny will go towards helping us reach more men, raise awareness, and encourage those who are struggling in silence to reach out before it’s too late.

🥾 Team Talk Sunday Walk – Join for as long as you like!

We’re out again this Sunday for another proper Team Talk walk — bit of fresh air, some good chat, and maybe even a dip for those who fancy it.

Meet: 9:30am at Hawton Road Allotments (near NG24 4QT)
Route: Hawton Road → Hawton Village → Winthorpe → Showground → Coddington Lane → Beacon Hill → Sconce & Devon Park
Distance: About 8.5 miles total — but you don’t have to do the whole thing!

If you just fancy the first section, or want to meet us halfway for a catch-up and coffee, that’s totally fine. It’s all about showing up, having a chat, and getting outside — not setting records.

We’ll finish at Rumbles Café in Sconce Park, and there’s an optional cold water dip in the River Devon 🏊‍♂️ for anyone feeling brave (5–10 mins just sitting in the water does wonders for your head and body).

Bring a drink, snack, towel (if dipping), and your usual walking gear.
Good chat, no pressure, no one left behind.
