We received beautiful flowers from the family of the late Pearl Medd, who visited Red Roofs to thank our team for the high level of care given to their mum. 💕 A heartfelt gesture that means so much to us all. 💛🌸

On Sunday, our community came together to honour and remember all those who have fought for our country. 🇬🇧 We watched the service on TV, shared a toast with a glass of sherry, and held a two-minute silence to reflect on their courage and sacrifices. 🌺

For Remembrance Day today, we spent the morning watching the national ceremony, looking through wartime posters and ration books, and sharing memories. ❤️

Our new giant Monopoly board - handmade by Caroline, one of amazing Activities ladies! 🎲👏 A brilliant idea that’s already a big hit!

Our first game was great fun, sparking lots of conversation about playing Monopoly with family over the years. There was plenty of healthy competition, and best of all, it was easy for everyone to see and get involved! 😊💛

This week we celebrated Sandwich Day - named after the Earl of Sandwich. 🥪 Everyone enjoyed trying different breads with spreads and houmous, with brioche voted the favourite for its sweet taste. 😋🥰

We ended our tasting session by listing as many sandwich fillings as we could - and came up with 30! 💛💭

Our Bonfire Night celebrations went off with a bang! 🎆🔥 We topped off the evening with Baileys hot chocolate and a slice of homemade coffee and walnut cake. ☕🍰❤️

We had great fun playing a word game to name as many words with “OO” in them, and together we came up with an impressive 74! 🧠🎉 The word ‘honeymoon’ sparked lots of conversation and fond memories of their own honeymoons in places like Skegness, Blackpool, Eastbourne, Cornwall, Norfolk, and many more. Such a joyful and heartwarming activity! 💖🥰
