Valentines day 💝
We focused on what love is .... to us and our residents, talked about long marriages and how to maintain a happy life together, we also talked about love between our families and friends. Read below what some of our residents had to say about this

Activities going on in Bowbridge this week, we invite residents, family and friends to come join us for any and all Activities

Slight change to this week's planner caterpillar Music will be on half term this week so has been swaped to the 23rd of February and we will be doing audio book club in its place

Roger came in the other day to play piano for us all, it was lovely to see the residents singing along to beloved songs 🎵

This week we got active with Tai chi with Clare and fitness fun with Arthur, so good to see so many residents enjoying these seated exercise classes

Fridays means Coffee Morning ❤️ this one fell perfectly the day before valentines day so of course we had to get the pink table clothes out, cake stands and of course red strawberry jam tarts and chocolate chip cookies were on the menu

Mandala painting yesterday, using the end of knitting needles we painted patterns out of dots, we had the traditional circles to birds and butterflies 🦋 great for handeye coordination

Yesterday at Bowbridge, we had our craft Club in the morning where we were finishing off projects we started earlier in the week from knitting to keyrings to posters for resident doors
Then in the afternoon we had our board game club with connect 4, dominos and scrabble. Shelia was so happy that she learnt to play connect 4 as she had not played before, and she managed to win 4 of her 5 games 🏆

A massive congratulations to Emily our amazing Kitchen Manager for being at Bowbridge for 5 years 🥳

This morning we had a go at making modeling clay sculptures 👩‍🎨 our residents were very creative making all sorts of designs from ladybirds and roses to penguins and the 2026 Olympic rings and mascot

If you have visited the home this past week you may have noticed our national love your pet day picture board, we are collecting the names and pictures of staff, resident and families pets to celebrate national pet day on the 20th of February. 🐱🐶
Want to join in the fun?, bring a picture of your pets with their names on the back to add to our photo board 📸

Also we want to take this chance to remind family and friends that we are a pet friendly home and love a visit from friendly pets if you were thinking of bringing any in to visit relatives in our care
