A really fun day at Treetops today with our Chapter for Calm Retreat Group, so good a Chapter 2 will definitely be coming soon ❤️
We started with gentle yoga with Rachel to wake up the day, followed by a book sharing circle, where everyone was invited to bring and share their favourites fiction and non fiction books, we had such a depth of range from classics, to childhood favourites, to young fiction, to Swedish stories. And an overriding theme of up North 😁 Yorkshire, Lake District, Whitby down to mudlarking in London in the banks of the river Thames.
It all built up an appetite for a winter warming Red Thai Lentil & Chickpea Curry from and apple and ginger puds with custard.
Lesley, our local author, led a brilliant creative workshop with us using our imagination around 'boxes', what was in them, who they belonged to, and each exercise went deeper bringing it all together, there was much frantic writing, no chance to think I don't know what to write, it just flowed and we all loved it. Next time we need Lesley for longer!
A quiet time by the fires, with cosy blankets and a book of choice as tea & cake was served. Time to truly relax for an hour and enjoy some quiet time, always precious.
Finishing back in the studio for a very peaceful and beautiful finish to the day with Rachel leading the group through a nourishing last few yin stretches and relaxation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, you made it such an amazing day.
