About yesterday’s treatments ✨

So this is what I had done and why I chose each one…

Polynucleotides for neck and under eyes

I had polynucleotides in my neck for neck bands and under my eyes for crepey skin.

I love polys because they’re all about skin quality, not adding volume.

They help to:
• Improve thin, crepey skin
• Smooth lines and neck bands
• Boost collagen and elastin
• Improve texture and glow
• Strengthen the skin so it ages better over time

It’s more “better skin” and less “bigger face”.

Skin booster for the neck

I also had a skin booster in the neck to add hydration and improve skin quality.

Skin boosters work by deeply hydrating the skin from within, making it look smoother, plumper and more radiant. They’re amazing for areas like the neck where skin gets dry, crepey and loses elasticity. Think of it as giving your skin a long drink of water rather than just moisturising the surface.

Microneedling with a medical grade serum.

I microneedled my whole face and neck using a medical grade serum packed with peptides and all the good stuff to actually make a difference.

Microneedling creates tiny channels in the skin so the serums actually go into the skin rather than just sitting on top.

I only ever use serums made for intradermal use because they’re sterile, safe, and designed to stimulate real skin change, not just hydrate the surface.

Benefits:
• Brighter, smoother skin
• Better hydration from within
• Improved firmness
• Long term collagen stimulation

Basically feeding the skin properly instead of just glossing over it.

CO2 laser for scar correction on an old tummy tuck scar.

This works by creating controlled heat in the skin to trigger regeneration.

It helps to:
• Break down old scar tissue
• Stimulate new collagen
• Smooth texture
• Improve overall skin quality

It’s one of the best treatments for scars because it actually remodels the skin.

Photos were taken 14 hours apart.
Very little redness in my face and neck mainly because I’ve got a healthy skin barrier. I’ll easily be able to wear makeup for my night out this evening😃

The Laser recovery will take longer (7 days)

And yes… the bruise 👀
Bruising can and does happen with injectables because of the huge vascular network under the skin. Even when I avoid visible capillaries, sometimes it’s just unavoidable. Totally normal, totally temporary, and one of the most common side effects.

Real skin, real treatments, real life.

All numbed up for pre holiday treatments 😶‍🌫️✈️✈️
(Yes, I look glamorous as ever)

I’m off on holiday from 18th Feb for 10 days and my diary is very busy, so if you’ve been thinking “I must book in soon”, this is your sign.

Every single time I get the last minute
“Squeeze me in please” messages 😅
I have extended hours to try and accommodate but even with that, there’s very little availability left.

Future you, not panic-texting me at 9pm the night before, will be very grateful you booked today.

PS Tune in tomorrow and I’ll tell you what treatments I did.

I wasnt the right one for her and that’s okay!

I had‎ one‎ of‎ those‎ consultations‎ recently‎ the‎ kind‎ where,‎ within‎ minutes,‎ you‎ just‎ know‎ it’s‎ not‎ going‎ to‎ work.

⁣Lovely‎ person.‎ Polite.‎ Knew‎ exactly‎ what‎ she‎ wanted.‎ The‎ problem?‎ What‎ she‎ wanted‎ wasn’t‎ something‎ I‎ could‎ deliver,‎ not‎ without‎ compromising‎ on‎ the‎ natural,‎ age-appropriate‎ results‎ I‎ stand‎ for.

⁣Could‎ I‎ technically‎ have‎ done‎ the‎ treatment?‎ Of‎ course.
⁣Could‎ I‎ have‎ taken‎ her‎ money,‎ done‎ what‎ she‎ asked,‎ and‎ sent‎ her‎ on‎ her‎ way?‎ Easily.

⁣But‎ would‎ I‎ have‎ felt‎ good‎ about‎ it?‎ Not‎ at‎ all.

⁣Here’s‎ the‎ thing‎ a‎ lot‎ of‎ people‎ don’t‎ realise:‎ saying‎ no‎ is‎ just‎ as‎ important‎ as‎ saying‎ yes‎ in‎ aesthetics.‎ Possibly‎ more‎ so.

⁣I’m‎ not‎ here‎ to‎ sell‎ syringes.‎
⁣I’m‎ here‎ to‎ help‎ people‎ feel‎ more‎ confident‎ in‎ their‎ own‎ skin‎ and‎ that‎ sometimes‎ means‎ gently‎ (or‎ not‎ so‎ gently)‎ steering‎ someone‎ away‎ from‎ an‎ idea‎ that‎ won’t‎ serve‎ them‎ in‎ the‎ long‎ run.

⁣Because‎ yes,‎ you‎ can‎ ask‎ for‎ a‎ treatment.‎ And‎ yes,‎ you’re‎ allowed‎ to‎ have‎ preferences,‎ references,‎ inspo‎ pics‎ and‎ all‎ the‎ rest‎ of‎ it.‎ But‎ my‎ job‎ isn’t‎ to‎ nod‎ along‎ and‎ do‎ what‎ I’m‎ told.

⁣My‎ job‎ is‎ to‎ guide,‎ to‎ educate,‎ and‎ when‎ needed‎ to‎ say,‎ “I‎ don’t‎ think‎ this‎ is‎ the‎ right‎ approach‎ for‎ you.”

⁣It’s‎ not‎ personal.‎ It’s‎ professional.‎ And‎ it’s‎ rooted‎ in‎ the‎ kind‎ of‎ honesty‎ and‎ trust‎ I’d‎ want‎ if‎ I‎ were‎ the‎ one‎ in‎ the‎ chair.

⁣Not‎ every‎ injector‎ is‎ the‎ right‎ fit‎ for‎ every‎ client.‎ That’s‎ not‎ a‎ flaw‎ it’s‎ how‎ it‎ should‎ be.‎ A‎ good‎ match‎ means‎ shared‎ values,‎ realistic‎ expectations,‎ and‎ a‎ mutual‎ understanding‎ of‎ what‎ “looking‎ your‎ best”‎ actually‎ means.

⁣So‎ if‎ I‎ ever‎ turn‎ something‎ down,‎ please‎ know‎ it’s‎ not‎ because‎ I‎ don’t‎ want‎ to‎ help.‎ It’s‎ because‎ I‎ care‎ enough‎ not‎ to‎ give‎ you‎ something‎ that‎ won’t‎ look‎ good,‎ won’t‎ last,‎ or‎ won’t‎ make‎ you‎ feel‎ like‎ the‎ best‎ version‎ of‎ you.

⁣And‎ I’ll‎ always‎ choose‎ long-term‎ confidence‎ over‎ a‎ short-term‎ sale.

⁣Every‎ single‎ time

Today is all about relaxation… well, almost.
I’ll behave and give myself an hour for admin, but the rest of the day is strictly chill mode.

I’m settling in with my latest Audible listen, Didn’t See That Coming by Rachel Hollis, and soaking up every single minute in this amazing space.

Honestly, I feel so lucky to live within a 45 minute drive of Nirvana Spa. It’s hands down the best spa I’ve ever been to and I don’t say that lightly.

So tell me… does anywhere else even come close to Nirvana?
I’m always open to new ideas

Comparison is the thief of joy

A client came in recently, sat down, and sighed. “I just want to look better. Everyone on my feed looks flawless, and I feel…meh.”

I get it. We’ve all been there, scrolling through perfect snapshots of other people’s lives and wondering if we measure up. But here’s the thing: that endless comparison? It’s exhausting—and unfair to you.

I reminded her of something I believe in deeply: You’re your own competition. Let’s not aim to look like someone else; let’s focus on enhancing what already makes you beautiful.

After her treatment, she looked in the mirror and said, “I don’t look like anyone else—I just look like a better me.” And that’s the whole point.

Your glow-up isn’t about fitting into someone else’s highlight reel. It’s about celebrating the unique, natural beauty you already have and feeling amazing in your own skin.

Because comparison fades, but confidence? That stays.

I’ve been asked about the at home LED masks a lot recently.

If you’re thinking of buying an LED face mask?
Read this first 👀

LED masks are everywhere right now. They promise lifted skin, fewer wrinkles, clearer pores and glowier faces while you sit on the sofa watching Netflix.
Sounds amazing, right?

Some are fab.
Some are basically a very expensive night light for your face.

Here’s how to know the difference.

first, what LED masks can actually do

A good LED mask can:
• Stimulate collagen
• Reduce inflammation and redness
• Support acne healing
• Improve overall skin quality
• Help treatments last longer

What they don’t do is replace professional treatments.
Clinic LED does the heavy lifting. Home LED keeps the results ticking over.

Think of it like the gym vs a walk round the block. Both are good, but they do different jobs.

the most important thing most brands won’t tell you

It is not about how many colours the mask has 🌈
It is about how strong the light is and whether it is the right type.

A proper LED mask should tell you:
• The wavelengths (usually red and near infrared for ageing, blue for acne)
• The power output
• That it is clinically tested

If a brand does not share this, it usually means it is a cheap white label mask with fancy marketing.

what to avoid

Be wary of masks that say:
• 7 colours
• 8 modes
• targets everything

But do not tell you how strong the light is.

Lots of colours look impressive but weak light does very little.

Do you want to know home LED masks that have clinical evidence ?

Well… I’ve officially made the local paper.
Move over the Beckhams! 🤣

If you saw last week’s Newbury Weekly News, that was me having a little chat about the road closure outside the Club, which houses my treatment room.
I was genuinely worried it might put people off coming, or that my lovely clients would be turning up late and stressed.

And do you know what… none of that happened.

Everyone is still arriving on time, my diary is still lovely and busy, and everything is ticking along just fine. Thank you for being absolute legends 😘

It really got me thinking though, how good we are at getting inside our own heads. We catastrophise, jump straight to worst-case scenario, and convince ourselves everything is about to go wrong.

I see the exact same thing with treatments all the time.
Clients come in full of anticipation and dread…

“What if it doesn’t look like me?”
“What if I hate it?”
“What if it all goes wrong?”

And the reality, almost every single time…
It’s absolutely fine.
You look fresher, softer, more rested, and you walk out wondering why you worried at all.

Sometimes the biggest thing we have to treat isn’t your skin, it’s the fear in your head 💕

And honestly, just like that road closure, most of the time… it’s really not the drama we think it is. ✨

Let’s talk skincare trends… and why some of them are really not doing you any favours

Because if I see one more viral “routine” with 9 serums, 4 acids and a week off to “let your skin breathe”, I might cry into my hyaluronic.

TREND: Skin cycling

“You must take breaks from actives or your skin stops responding.”

The truth
Your skin does not need a holiday. It needs consistency.

Healthy skin thrives on steady support, barrier repair, cell turnover and collagen stimulation over time.
Not a rollercoaster of one week on, one week off.

Instead of blasting your face with strong acids then ghosting it for days, choose the right actives that you can use little and often, and stick with them.

Slow, steady and sensible wins every time.

TREND: “Breakthrough” ingredients

“If it’s on TikTok and a celebrity swears by it, it must be magic.”

The truth
Real skin change doesn’t come from buzzwords.

It comes from well-studied ingredients, used in the right doses, in formulas that actually work with your skin biology.

Anything claiming to change your DNA from a cream is… let’s be polite… optimistic.

Buzzy ingredients can be fun, but they should be the glitter, not the foundation.

TREND: Instant glow = real results

“If my skin looks amazing after one use, it must be working.”

The truth
That glow is usually just surface hydration and light reflection.

Lovely for a night out, useless for long-term skin health.

Real change happens quietly, improving hydration, texture, tone and firmness over weeks and months, not five minutes.

TREND: Product hopping

“My skin’s used to this, I need something new.”

The truth
Your skin doesn’t get bored.
It gets better.

Good ingredients don’t stop working. Their benefits build with time.
What fades is the “wow I look glowy today” feeling, not the actual results.

Constantly switching resets progress and increases irritation, not improvement.

Bottom line

Skin doesn’t improve by chasing trends.
It improves with steady, science-backed, barrier-friendly products used every single day.

No drama.
No hype.
Just good skin decisions

I have the perfect trio to support your skin alongside your in clinic treatments.

Today I had a lady reach out to me after I posted about my new CACI treatments.

I’m too old for anything now 😭😭

This is often the first response I get off mature ladies when they find out what I do.

They instantly count themselves out of being able to have any kind of treatment without looking overdone, or that’s not for old people!

Here’s my thoughts 💭

To me, aesthetics is not about turning you into a generic twenty something girl with big lips, perfectly shaded brows, and chiselled jawline with cheeks maleficent would be proud of.

To me aesthetics is giving you back subtly what the ageing process has taken away.

Did you know our bone structure actually shrinks as we get older?

It’s not just about our skin losing that famous collagen and elastin.

This is why women’s faces as we age become much looser, saggier and hang differently to in our youth.

On top of that, our fat pads that give us our plumpness and smooth contours are also shrinking.

This means, our skin which used to be lovely and taught over our facial features, is now a bit like a king size duvet covering a small double bed.

It doesn’t matter how expensive your facial creams are, and how often you’re using them, what facials you are having every month, no amount of cream in the world is going to perform miracles of bringing those things back.

But here’s the thing, this is where a well crafted treatment plan comes in to save the day!

A treatment plan may entail more than one procedure and often does.

You see, when we have that glamorous event we want to attend and wear that gorgeous dress, it’s not just about the dress.

Without the perfect body sculpting underwear to hold our curvaceous figures in all the right places and shoes to change our posture a little making us stand upright a little taller, the dress just doesn’t have the complete over all wow factor!

It’s the same with our faces.

That wonder bra we’re all familiar with is a godsend to giving us our oomph up top, and those Spanx are incredible at holding in our bums and tums.

Think of aesthetics to the shape wear underwear for your faces.

No one needs to know about them.

They shouldn’t be obvious.

They shouldn’t be detectable.

A thorough consultation with me will leave you completely aware of what is happening with your face and how we can restore it.

Most importantly, how you will still look like you, I don’t want to change you into a clone of these younger ladies.

As beautiful as they are, they are not the unique you.

Why shouldn’t you look your best?
Why shouldn’t you feel incredible?
Why shouldn’t you have your confidence boosted?
Who said you’re too old?
