ART BRASIL
Music & Dance to Support your Health & Happiness ART BRASIL is a not-for-profit collective of freelance artists working in movement and music.

We aim to help improve health and well-being, providing opportunities for all in our communities and encouraging a healthy and active physical and social lifestyle. We deliver a range of weekly classes in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, as well as offering bespoke workshops in our area and further afield. OUR COMMUNITY CLASSES include:
- Brazilian Dance
- Chair Based Dance
- Yoga
- Capoeira (Brazilian Martial Art Dance)
- Brazilian Carnival Drumming
- Afro-Brazilian Hand Drumming & Song

OUR COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS include:
- Visits to children’s centres for one-off music and dance sessions with families
- Chair based dance and drumming workshops for older people’s groups (e.g. local friendship groups, carers groups, housing associations and residential complexes)
- Drumming workshops at community events (eg. local festivals, community days)

EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL WORKSHOPS include:
- Brazilian Carnival Dance
- Body Percussion
- Brazilian Carnival Drumming
- Afro-Brazilian Hand Drumming
- Junk Percussion
- Singing

Last night we hosted a 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 with our fabulous Carnival Drum band, and it was AMAZING ⭐️

Well done to everyone who took part - the newbies playing for the first time, the returnees who came back for more, and our band members who support everyone and help to create layers of drummy goodness.

Drumming together feels absolutely BRILLIANT - it's a great workout for the brain, helps improve our focus, reduces stress and gives our mood and energy a massive boost 💥

We'll be sharing details of our next drum workshop soon but in the meantime you can join our waitlist to get first dibs on booking your place here

ART BRASIL is a non-profit collective of freelance artists working in movement and music with a community focus. We deliver a range of weekly classes in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, as well as offering bespoke outreach workshops nationwide. Our team are locally based and are committed to sharing their knowledge and passion for the arts with the community. The way we work in our communities has changed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. We've been working hard to adapt our teaching, content and delivery to teach from home, enabling us to continue our community classes programme and support our members to attend classes online.
