This month is an important opportunity to raise awareness about brain tumours and highlight the vital role that research plays in improving diagnosis, treatment and support for those affected. Increasing awareness helps drive funding, advances research, and supports individuals and families facing this diagnosis.

Today we took advantage of the sunshine and kicked off the bowls club. It was a lovely afternoon, working together as a team and enjoying some healthy competition. We also had a great time reminiscing about all the different sports each of us has enjoyed over the years. A perfect day filled with laughter, teamwork, and good memories.☀️🙏🏽☀️

As Ramadan continues, I want to take a moment to sincerely appreciate our incredible staff who are balancing their professional responsibilities while fasting.
Ramadan is a sacred and meaningful month for Muslims around the world, a time of reflection, prayer, and discipline. Observed by millions during Ramadan, it requires fasting from dawn to sunset, which takes immense dedication, strength, and resilience.
Despite long days without food or water, our team continues to show up with commitment, positivity, and professionalism. Your work ethic, patience, and perseverance do not go unnoticed. The energy and focus you bring each day are truly inspiring.

What a fantastic and joyful day we had celebrating our Long Service and High Five Awards at Woodview Care Home.

The celebrations began with a brilliant unit vs unit game of the Traitors, where our very own Home Manager stepped into the role of Claudia Winkleman for the day . It was a fun filled start to the day, full of laughter and team spirit.
Huge congratulations to Sneyd Unit, who successfully banished the traitor and claimed victory ⭐️

We then moved on to our Long Service Awards, recognising team members who have reached incredible milestones in their time with us. It was a proud moment to celebrate their commitment, loyalty, and the invaluable experience they bring to Woodview Care Home.🏆🌟

Next came our High Five Awards, where staff were nominated and recognised for their hard work and dedication across a range of categories. It was wonderful to see so many deserving nominees and winners being celebrated for the positive impact they make every single day.

A huge congratulations to all nominees and winners you should be incredibly proud. We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to every member of staff at Woodview Care Home. Your dedication, hard work, and positive attitudes never go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything you do.🙏🏽👐🌟

The day was rounded off perfectly with light snacks and a good old sing-along a wonderful way to celebrate together as team

Our residents had a wonderful day out at the local Zoo 🦁🌞

We spent the day strolling around the different enclosures, seeing a variety of animals, and taking in all the sights and sounds. The sunshine made it even more special, and everyone enjoyed being outdoors and making the most of the beautiful weather. 🐧🦓

After all that walking, we stopped at the café for a delicious pizza, which went down a treat. To top off a fantastic day, we treated ourselves to a well-earned ice cream before heading home.

A lovely day filled with fresh air, smiles, and great memories.

Today was Reminiscence Monday, and our lovely residents spent time participating in a variety of meaningful reminiscence activities.🌟🌟

Residents thoroughly enjoyed our Match the Advert activity, where they matched and labelled old vintage adverts. We had wonderful discussions about the adverts, sharing memories of whether they recognised or had ever used the products. This sparked lots of conversation and laughter as everyone reflected on times gone by.🌸🌸

We also spent time using our reminiscence ball and dice. This gave everyone the opportunity to answer questions, reflect, and share personal memories. It was a fantastic way to encourage engagement, storytelling, and connection among the group.

A truly heartwarming and enjoyable session for all involved. 💛
