Paul Robert Griffiths (Gripper)

Peacefully at rest surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 whilst at home, Paul aged 79 years of Newcastle. Much loved husband of Margaret, loving dad of Paul, Tracy and Lisa, cherished father-in-law of Durber and Chris. Devoted grandad of Chelsea, Jade, Tyler, Kayleigh, Lilly, Sam, Lottie, Finley and a treasured great-grandad (Big Grandad). Paul will be deeply and sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all of his loving family and many friends.

Funeral service and cremation at Bradwell Crematorium on Monday 22nd December 2025 at 2:40pm. Would all those wishing to attend please meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only please by request. Donations in loving memory of Paul much preferred for either Alzheimer's Society or Dementia UK. A donation box will be provided in the crematorium for anybody wishing to make a donation.

Much loved Son of the late Joyce and Thomas, devoted partner of the late Graham, loving Brother of Maureen and the late Michael and Brian. Cherished Uncle of Julie, Lisa, Claire, Michael and Brother in law of Hazel, will also be missed by supportive friends Julie and Janice. Todays service was at St Joseph’s RC Church, Burslem for the late Jose, a well respected gentleman in the Indian Catholic Community, it was an honour and privilege to care for him and his lovely family, followed by Internment at Keele Cemetery. A big thank you to Fr George for his guidance today as this was by far the biggest attended funeral with over 1100 people in attendance, thank you to all the traffic Marshalls and the lady’s for giving all the service cards and keepsakes out, and thank you for your hospitality, the food and tea was much appreciated by our staff.

Jose will be deeply and sadly missed by all his loving family and many friends.
