💻 Thank you for your patience this morning 💻

We’d like to say a big thank you to all our patients for your understanding earlier today while we experienced a nationwide outage of our clinical system.

Unfortunately, this issue was completely outside of our control and affected GP surgeries across the country, which meant we were unable to access patient records or carry out some of our usual services for a short period of time.

We truly appreciate your patience and kindness towards our team while we worked through the disruption as quickly as possible.

Everything is now back up and running as normal.

🎉 Good news, everyone! 🎉

After what feels like a long holiday (that it definitely didn’t ask for 😅), our self check-in screen is officially back up and running!

Thank you all for your patience while it was out of action — we know many of you missed the quick and easy check-in option

You can now once again check in at the screen when you arrive for your appointment. Of course, our reception team is still here and happy to help as always.

We appreciate your understanding over the past few months — and we promise we’ve had a word with the screen about taking unexpected breaks 😉

Why aren’t all medications on repeat prescriptions? 💊

We know it can be frustrating if a medication you’ve had before isn’t available on your repeat list.

Following NHS prescribing guidance, not every medication can be added to repeat prescriptions. Some medicines need to be reviewed by a clinician each time to make sure they are still safe and appropriate for you. 🩺

This may include:
• Short-term treatments (like antibiotics)
• Medicines that need monitoring or dose changes (including HRT)
• Items meant for occasional or one-off use

If a medication isn’t on your repeat list, it simply means a clinician needs to review it before issuing it again.

Today, our practice team completed a training session with Newcastlestaffs Foodbank, and we’re proud to share that we are now an official foodbank voucher distributor 🙂

We’ve seen first-hand how the rising cost of living is affecting many people in our community. No one should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from, and we believe that everyone deserves access to food and support, without judgement.

If you are finding things difficult, please know that help is available. Our team is here to listen and can discreetly support you with a foodbank voucher where appropriate.

For all routine and non-urgent requests, please consider using our online consultation tool instead of calling the surgery where possible.

Using our online services helps us to:
• Triage requests more efficiently
• Respond to you more quickly
• Keep our phone lines free for urgent matters or for patients who are unable to use online tools.

• Ordering repeat prescriptions
• Viewing test results and medical records
• Booking and managing appointments
