Call Out for Creatives – Paid Opportunity 🎨

We’re looking for creatives to be part of “Let’s Get Creative in Castle”, a summer programme for children and young people in Newcastle-under-Lyme during the summer holidays.

Think about Newcastle-under-Lyme as a place with a story, where it’s come from, what it is now and what it could become. From a heritage of hatters, circus and markets to its industrial roots in ironmongery, we’re looking for creative ways to bring those stories to life for young people today.

Sessions will be 3 hours long and we’re open to a range of creative disciplines. If you’re interested in delivering a session, we’d love to hear from you!

The spotlight’s calling… and we want YOU🫵🏻

Think you’re a proper theatre buff? Ready to rock ’n’ roll your way into becoming our LoveNUL Ambassador? 🎶🎭

We’re once again teaming up with our friends at the New Vic Theatre to give another lucky person the chance to attend the press night of the electrifying production, Good Golly Miss Molly.

“Pulsing with energy, nostalgia and a foot-stomping soundtrack of rock ‘n’ roll hits from an era gone by, Good Golly Miss Molly charts the history of one local community against a backdrop of social turmoil, societal changes and tumultuous friendships. A story of defiance, solidarity and unbreakable community spirit in the face of adversity, this feel-good show is as relevant as ever!” 🕺

Back Newcastle-under-Lyme’s bid for Town of Culture 2028 🌟

Newcastle-under-Lyme is shaping a bid to become the UK’s Town of Culture, a major opportunity to celebrate the town’s heritage, creativity and cultural life.

If successful, the bid could help unlock up to £3 million of investment to support a year long cultural programme in 2028, bringing events, activity and opportunities into the town.

From heritage, the arts, creativity, live music and everyday culture, this is about building something that reflects Newcastle-under-Lyme as it is now and where it’s heading.

We’re back baby… and we’re moving dates! 🙌

You told us you wanted EVEN MORE chances to soak up the music in our brilliant local venues, so we listened and Newcastle Jazz & Blues Festival is heading to August Bank Holiday weekend 🎶🎶

From Friday 28th to Monday 31st August we’ll be filling the town with live music across venues all over Castle and Hartshill!

Four days of great music, good vibes and proper Bank Holiday energy 🍻
