🇬🇧Remembrance Sunday at Rowan Court🇬🇧

Today, our residents and team came together to honour Remembrance Sunday with reflection and respect! ❤️

We watched the service together, taking time to remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country. 🇬🇧

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed some thoughtful arts and crafts inspired by the Poppy, followed by a relaxing afternoon game of dominoes - a lovely way to spend time together and share memories. ❤️

"At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them." 🌹

🐾A little visit that made a big difference💛

Today, we had a very special visitor at Rowan Court - Millie, our wonderful therapy dog! 🐶✨️

The smiles, laughter, and gentle cuddles said it all. For many of our residents, time spent with 'Millie' brings back fond memories of beloved pets and fills the rooms with warmth and joy. It's amazing how a wagging tail and a kind heart can lift spirits and spark conversations. 🐾

A huge thank you to Tara and Millie for sharing these beautiful moments with us. ❤️

Sometimes, the smallest paws leave the biggest prints on our hearts. 🐾🤎

🎄✨️Festive Fun at the Garden Centre✨️🎄

This morning, our residents enjoyed a lovely trip to our local Garden Centre - the perfect place to soak up some festive cheer! 🌟🌟

There were twinkling lights, sparkling decorations, and plenty of laughter as we browsed, chatted, and shopped, and then we enjoyed some delicious refreshments! ☕️🍰

It's a lovely way to spend a gloomy morning!! 🤎

🎲 ♠️Games Afternoon Mayhem!❤️ 😂

Things got seriously competitive at our games afternoon today - we might need to calk in the referees next time! 😅

The dominoes were clacking, the cards were shuffled with military precision, and there were more poker faces than at a Las Vegas Casino. One resident claimed to have a "winning strategy"...we're still not sure if that meant skill or pure luck! 😉

Laughter, cheeky banter, and a few questionable tactics made for a brilliant afternoon. Rumour has it, the rematch is being planned...🏆

It was lovely to also see a very much missed face helping out with our remembrance crafts... 🤎

🎸🕸Rock 'n' Roll Halloween with Jo Safina!🕸🎸

Things got spook-tacularly loud at Rowan Court this Halloween when the fabulous Jo Safina - our very own rock chic superstar - came to shake the cobwebs off with some classic hits, and a whole lot of sparkle! 🤘✨️

Residents were up dancing, singing along, and showing off some seriously impressive clapping skills! 🎶💃🕺There might even have been a few witches and mummies joining in the boogie...👻🦇🧙‍♀️

A huge thank you to Jo Safina for bringing the Halloween magic (and the rock 'n' Roll attitude!) - You made our day absolutely one to remember!! We love you, Jo 😍 ❤️

☕️💛Coffee, Catch-ups, and Smiles All Round!💛☕️

What a wonderful morning we had here at Rowan Court as friends and relatives came together for our coffee morning reunion! 🥰

The lounge was filled with laughter, chatter, and the comforting aroma of coffee and homemade treats. It was so lovely to see familiar faces reconnecting and sharing stories - moments like these truly make our home feel like one big family. 🤎

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to our amazing team for making the morning so special. ❤️

We are so grateful for our wonderful Reverend Ann, Reverend Claire, and Reverend Josh from St Giles Church, who bring joy, comfort, and fun to our Care Home. Their visits are always filled with kindness, patience, and good humour - true jolly good sports who brighten everyone's day! ✨️

They offer not only spiritual support but also a listening ear and a warm heart to our residents and their families. Thank you for always being there for us and for spreading so much love and positivity throughout our home. 💖

💙Alice Court Take Fundraising to New Heights for International Animal Rescue 💙

In celebration of World Animal Day, General Manager, Michelle Love-Patel, from Alice Court Care Home - Avery Collection, is preparing for the ultimate challenge - abseiling off the stunning Peacehaven Cliffs.

Michelle is taking on this daring feat to raise money and awareness for International Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to protecting animals in need across the globe. 🐒

“This is such an important cause,” said Michelle. “I’m thrilled to be able to take part in something that not only pushes me out of my comfort zone but also supports vulnerable animals who desperately need our help.”
