The practice will be closing at the earlier time of 12.30pm on Wednesday 12th of November 2025, along with other practices in Gateshead for training purposes. If you require urgent medical advice whilst the surgery is closed please ring NHS 111 and in the case of an emergency contact the emergency services on 112 or 999.
The surgery will reopen at 9am on Thursday 13th of November 2025

💉 FLU VACCINE CLINICS 💉

The surgery is holiday a flu vaccine clinic this evening between 5:30pm and 7pm. If you wish to attend for a flu vaccine and are eligible please attend between the times above.

Eligible patients are:

⚫️are aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2026)

⚫️have certain long-term health conditions

⚫️are pregnant

⚫️live in a care home

⚫️are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer's allowance

⚫️live with someone who has a weakened immune system

🔴💉The surgery is holding a flu vaccine clinic this afternoon, if you would like to have a flu vaccine and are eligible please attend the surgery between 2pm - 5:30pm

Patients who are eligible for the flu vaccine are:

You may have heard in the news about a “new” NHS online appointment system. Here at Chopwell Primary Healthcare Centre, we’ve already been offering this service for several years.

👉 Online requests are for routine problems only – things like long-term condition reviews, medication checks, vaccinations and health screening.

🚨 If your problem is urgent, please call the practice directly so we can help you safely.Please remember, no extra NHS funding has been provided to increase appointment numbers. Using the system correctly helps us protect appointments for those who are most unwell.Thank you for supporting us to provide safe, effective care for everyone in our community.
