In our quietest moments, we can discover our greatest experiences.

A few months ago I started to focus on deepening my inner peace and creating more space for myself by a taking a break from all distractions, including social media. So while It may seem that I have been ‘quiet’ to the outside world, I have been discovering some of my greatest moments personally, spiritually and professionally. During this time, I have been blessed and honoured to have taken the opportunity to teach bereavement support and to teach mindfulness and meditation in the local area. The intentions behind my work with grief wellbeing and wellbeing services has changed for the better, and my wish is that as my life continues to evolve, so too will my work to help people to improve their wellbeing.

This life is not meant to be centered on the outside world, when there is so much to learn from within ourselves. So, I encourage you to always seek space for yourself, allow yourself to take a break from the outside world and connect to a feeling of calm.

I wish that you are all well, and thank you for taking an interest, the time and support for my work. ☺

In our everyday lives, we are constantly subjected to stress in our lives, and in the environments we are in. That is why we all need to find ways to respond to, and move through stress.

That’s when massage can become a way of responding, a way of giving our body what it needs, and giving our mind what it seeks.

Our lives can be like the diversions and roadblocks we see on our roads. When we are faced with these diversions and roadblocks in our everyday life, we can usually find signposts, directions and even a clear route through.

However, when a loved one is ill, or a loved one dies, our lives instantly become diverted from the way we wish or expect our lives to be.

✨I share more about this in my latest blog post, Follow the Link: https://bit.ly/3Jduskk

Over the last few weeks I have taken some time out to rest and reconnect to myself and it has been exactly what I needed to begin my year with the best intentions. I have been visiting my family in Egypt, and we had a beautiful soul-nourishing Nile cruise☺. While I was away, I was reminded of the importance of taking time to reconnect with yourself, with new experiences and ways of being. It made me reflect on how when we feel so overwhelmed and stressed, we can lose sight of what makes us feel rested and refreshed, and it can lead us to feeling like the only solution is to disconnect, distract ourselves, or escape from the world. Yet, what we usually need is reconnection with ourselves and the world, starting with allowing ourselves space to do this.

I share this with you because we all go through times when we feel disconnected, stressed or overwhelmed and we all need space and rest.

Although I am not able to send you away on holiday! I can help you to begin to create space to reconnect to you, to a place of calm, through massage, guided relaxation and meditation.

✨In person and online appointments are available in February and March. Look out for my next post for more details.

In this Christmas season, like any holiday or celebration, we are all faced with the endless images of holiday celebrations, love and families, and when you are grieving a loved one this can be so overwhelming, and upsetting. It is something you can only try to describe to those who have not experienced it themselves

The courage we have to carry our grief, to move through the memories of the years gone by, and the years to come, is something that often goes unwitnessed and forgotten about in this world.

If you are grieving a loved one who died recently or many years gone past, take a moment to yourself this season to check in with how you feel. Give yourself the gift of permission to feel whatever you feel, and to choose what is going to be most helpful and meaningful to YOU.

We all grieve differently, so we will all experience our grief differently in the holidays, and we all honour the memory of your loved ones in different ways.

Sending love to you all and wishing you have a peaceful Christmas.

When I teach meditation and relaxation techniques, I will always talk about how the session is not about eliminating the feelings or pain we may feel. Instead, it is about helping us to be more at ease with these feelings, as they are.

One of the main reasons I decided to learn and then teach meditation and relaxation, was because I was feeling so stressed and anxious. Making space for me to breathe was the start of the journey for me.

✨I would love to be able to help you to do the same, with whatever stress, grief or challenges you are moving through in your life.

Get in touch with me to find out more. 😊

🌷 Children's Grief Awareness Week. I wanted to start by sharing some information and details of where you can find support for a child or young person, who is grieving.

When a child is bereaved, it is vital that they are offered and receive support. They need help to find ways to understand how they are feeling, and connect with other children and young people who are also bereaved.
💜I wish this for every child who experiences the death of someone close to them.

🌷Also if you were bereaved as a child then check out the where they talk to adults bereaved as children.

Today, we have become in our minds too much, thoughts upon thoughts swimming around our mind, often all day long.

The simple practice of mindfulness, brings us back to our senses and back to feeling again.

Guiding people through mindfulness practices is at the core of what I teach and it’s a good place to start if you are feeling stressed out. Get in touch with me, if you want to find out more 😊

Lest we forget.

Those who we remember on this day, live on in us, they live in the stories we tell, the tears we share, and the memories we pass onto another generation.

This day symbolises the normalising and validating of grief, and grieving. It allows grievers to make space for their grief, for their loved one's life to be remembered.
In grief, remembrance of a loved one is every day, not just today ❤️
✨Let's normalise the conversation about death, and grief
✨let's give people more space and time to share their grief and talk about their loved ones
✨Let us see and hear those in grief and honour those who have died
✨Let the world witness our grief and loss, today and every day.

It is up to us, to continue to have the courage to share our experience of grief, and continue our loved one's story in our own lives. It is up to us to ask others, and keep asking about their loved one.

For without this, people and their memory can remain untold, and unseen and forever locked away in our own minds 💔
Sending love to all ❤️ Comment with who you are remembering?

Today, I felt guided to share this with you, as I remember my beloved grandma’s birthday. Her name was Anne ❤️

I am sending love to you, if you are feeling that familiar, yet sudden ache of your loved ones’ birthday, the day they died or any other date that is etched on your calendar next to their name.
✨If you feel comfortable, share with me who you are remembering ❤️

Gently reflect and ask yourself
-Has the stress and overwhelm in your life become a way of being, of functioning or
-Do you often expect your days to be stressful?

If this sounds familiar, then I encourage you to take some time to just notice where stress and overwhelm affects you the most in your day and begin to open up to the possibility that your life and you could be different. calmer.

We all have the ability to reduce our stress and feel calmer, so do whatever you can to prevent stress from overpowering you and your life.

✨I love helping people to move their stress, and grief through their bodies, and minds. If you live in the north east, I am based at Urban Therapy Centre in Jesmond/Gosforth providing complementary therapies and meditation classes for all, and grief wellbeing support/meditation.
