We are a student-led volunteering group supporting access to health for refugees and asylum seekers, as part of N.E.S.T (Newcastle uni’s own award-winning refugee and asylum seeker empowerment project).

Our main work involves create high quality, up-to-date translated resources on local NHS services, which we distribute face-to-face at community hubs, outreach events and drop-in clinics. These resources not only promote health and wellbeing but are also hugely empowering for these communities.

Currently we are looking for students studying Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public health, or Global health to join us in fighting for equal healthcare access for all!
