DON'T WORRY—SHE’S NOT LEAVING! 👓

We just had to clear that up first! On Tuesday, our gorgeous Anne celebrated a massive milestone: 20 years with our practice. 🥳

Anne is truly the heartbeat of our team. She’s one of our "OGs" who has seen it all and remembers every face that walks through our doors. Whether she’s:

✨ Being the friendly face that welcomes you to your appointment,
✨ Keeping the practice running like clockwork behind the scenes,
✨ Or handling the "bits and bobs" (like banking and direct debits) that keep us afloat...
..we quite literally don’t know what we’d do without her! Anne is warm, hilarious, and kind—a total legend in our eyes.

It's Sunday! I'm 55! And it's time for crackerjack! Time for more learning with a face to face day at Glasgow Caledonian University. Starting my post grad certificate in Independent Prescribing. Excited? Err apprehensive perhaps.

As many of you are aware, our wonderful Optometrist Angela has now done her last day with us and is moving on to a full time role with Primary Eyecare Services.
Here is a word from our practice owner John:

'Having worked with Angela since she was only nineteen years old (back when she was a student), she & I have been friends and colleagues for a very long time indeed - over thirty years of friendship. Angela joined the practice thirteen years ago, initially full time, and was part of our leadership team for a while alongside myself and Ian Warren. She has been part time with us for the last few years, sharing her time between our practice and an organisation called Primary Eyecare Services. She is moving into a senior full time role with Primary Eyecare Services from February and her role will shape the future of eyecare practices such as ours. Her new role is extremely important nationally for delivering eyecare in the community. She will certainly be a miss to our practice and to our profession locally as she has held important roles as an Optometrist on many committees and societies over the years. We all wish her luck in her new job. John'

Very pleasant evening helping to launch Bausch & Lomb Ultra 1-Day multifocal contact lenses with Keri-Leigh Parsons & Bushra Shaheen to local independent practices.
Great to see old friends as well as making new ones. Food was delicious too.
