As we head towards Christmas we're starting to think about ways we can help others to make this time of year a little better for others. We've spotted two local appeals that everyones help we can support...
Firstly The People's Kitchen are running low on socks, trainers, gloves and hats ahead of the winter. These can be preloved (no holes please) so could we ask you if your having a sort out and tidy up in the run up to Christmas and have anything they may find useful can you drop it off with us and we can take it along next time we have our minibus.
Secondly St Vincents are appealing for items to help make hampers to support families. We thought we'd collect some items and make some small hampers to drop off the full list is in the photo but includes items like sauces, cakes, gravy granules, tinned meat, crackers or anything you can think of that might make Christmas better. We thought we'd collect items and then hopefully our residents can pack a few hampers (much like our hugely successful handbag pack earlier this year) if you could add an extra item (or two) to your shopping basket and drop it off we'd be very grateful.
