What’s the difference between counselling, psychotherapy, and coaching?

These words get used a lot, but they’re not the same thing.Help understand which might be right for you👇

Counselling is safe, supportive space to talk through life’s challenges such as stress, anxiety, grief, relationships.
•Usually short-term
•Focused on coping, understanding, and healing
•Helps you manage emotions and move forward

Psychotherapy is for exploring why you think, feel, and behave the way you do.
•Looks at patterns and past experiences
•Helps with long-term emotional or mental health issues
•A journey of deep self-awareness and change

🌍Today is World Kindness Day!🫶

In a world that can sometimes feel heavy with conflict and uncertainty, kindness is more important than ever.

Whether it’s a smile to a stranger, a message to check in on a friend, or taking some time to listen to someone. Even the smallest of gestures can have a big impact.

Research Participants Needed!

We are sharing information about this research on behalf of Jenny, who’s completing her Masters in SEND and Inclusion at the University of Northampton.

She’s researching the links between school anxiety and autism, ADHD, Developmental Language Disorder, Dyslexia and more.

If you’re a parent of a young person aged 16–19, please take 10 minutes to complete her anonymous questionnaire. Your input, especially from the autistic community, is really valuable and will help ensure a range of voices are represented.

The study follows the University’s Research Ethics Code and Procedures. You can take part using the QR code or link below.

Thank you so much for supporting this important research!

Today we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who gave everything for our freedom.

We remember the fallen, those who served, and those who continue to serve today.

November is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month!💪

It’s okay not to be okay. Opening up isn’t a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength.

Far too often, men feel pressure to stay silent, “tough it out,” or hide how they’re really feeling. But talking about mental health, asking for help, and checking in on your mates can truly change lives.

This month, remember to check in on a friend and check in with yourself.

**Spaces are still available on our Preparing for Christmas Webinar this Friday (7th November at 9.30am-11.30am**

Christmas can be one of the most challenging times of the year and this is an ideal opportunity to help parents and carers plan ahead. Changes are happening all around us in the preparation for Christmas. Over the year, families tell us that it can be a really difficult time which is why we are passionate about running this webinar.

At the moment we only have a handful of families signed up and we are hoping for more to register so we can go ahead with this session.

Places can be booked by emailing us at admin@ttht.co.uk or calling us on 0300 365 3055 and lastly, by our website: https://www.ttht.co.uk/event/preparing-for-christmas-with-your-autistic-child-webinar/.

Today is the start of International Stress Awareness Week!💪

Stress is something we all experience. It isn’t always bad, it’s our body’s way of responding to pressure. But when it builds up without rest or release, it can affect our mood, focus, and wellbeing.

Take a moment to check in with yourself. What’s been weighing on you lately?

You don’t have to handle everything alone. Talking about stress, reaching out for support, or simply taking time to breathe can make a huge difference.🫶
