Clinic day for Charlie 💙 daddy's turn this week as it's school holidays 🥳🤣. As there is a global shortage of Immunoglobulin due to covid, decisions will be made in a fortnight to stop Charlie's altogether and restart his baby vaccinations before winter 🙈. Will be another big step towards normality for our big lad 💙.

For the first time since February we have gone a whole week of no hospital visits! Back again on Wednesday for fortnightly bloods and scig but what a lovely week of no needles for Charlie. He's finally learnt how to stack his rings...do we have a genius on our hands 🤔😂💙

We are in to triple figures! Today was Charlie's first visit to the day ward without his central line in. This meant bloods which is easier said than done on chunky baby hands 🥺 . It was also Charlie's first immunoglobulin through his thighs instead of IV but he absolutely smashed it and forgot all about it when the crisps came out. Charlie will need this until at least a year post transplant so it is something Mammy and Daddy will learn to do at home 💉.

And we are central line free! After a change of appointment Charlie was slotted in this morning to go in for surgery and have his lines removed. After the most horrific screams I've ever heard he is now back to his usual self. Now for lunch and a walk in the park with Mammy and Daddy to recover 💙.
